Thanks for sharing this Seth .Great content.
You're welcome!
Nice to see some content Seth keep it up, helped me pass my Private Checkride and now about to go into my instrument
Thank you!
This is great as the weather is the most difficult part of the oral and check-ride.
I am not going to be a pilot, GA, but I do like to listen to the piloting talk. I’ve learned a lot from Hoover, Juan, Josh, etc. on other channels. Seth he provides the details needed to keep you from killing yourself. I’ve concluded that if you are thinking of being a pilot you’d better have time lots of it to invest in learning all the rules and doing what is required, and lots of money to fly well maintained aircraft and to gain proficiency in all the equipment, tactics, awareness, ability to make critical adjustments, OR don’t bother putting yourself and others at risk. This is serious business appropriate for grownups only.
Thank you for watching and for the feedback!
Lots of great checkride info- thank you.
I second the good timing comment! Just finished my cross country hours. As soon as we do night and instrument flights it will be time for check ride prep!
So good to hear you've been making good progress!
Happy to see you back Seth. Was wondering what happened to you. I really enjoy your videos.
Thanks for you patience! Life gets in the way sometimes, hope you all understand!
Fantastic job, Seth. I'll definitely use this ACS tool for my checkride and cross-country flight prep.
Thank you for the feedback! Good luck with your checkride!
Thanks so much for the video; your content is the best. I’ll hopefully be taking my private checkride soon and still feel the most shaky about weather, so this is perfectly timed for me. The ACE guide has some great links to additional study content that I’m sure will be helpful as I continue to study.
You're welcome! Thank you so much for your interest in the ACE Guide too. Best of luck with your private pilot checkride!
Thanks for making these videos and the ACE guide Seth!
You're welcome!
Oooh, a new ACS video by Seth! Perfect timing! Don’t you love it when one of your fave YT’s uploads? It’s like Christmas in July!😃

@@SethLakeDPEthank you for covering the weather section. I missed PA.1.C k3a so I am so happy to see that. I watch your videos in chunks when I can focus in the morning. You are helping me understand the ACS. As a student pilot so much of this is jibberish until someone helps you decode it. Thank you, I may just pass my checkride, if I ever get one. Just need to finish XC solo and find a DPE. But I am being optimistic and studying now.
thanks Seth! Im doing my long xc for PPL then its checkride prep. Planning to use this guide as my sole study material for the oral portion of the checkride
That's great to hear! Keep up the hard work.
These are always great. Thank you for this resource Seth!
You're welcome!
This was fantastic! I am getting ready for my PPL Check Ride in the coming weeks. Thanks!
You're welcome. Best of luck!
@@SethLakeDPE Thanks! I just downloaded your ACE guide. It should be very useful.
@@justinhall6964 Thank you! Let me know what you think.
Great video, never had seen that plane sense handbook before.
It doesn't get covered very often and has some great information.
Can you provide a title for the AOPA weather course you mentioned? Enjoying the new video!

Thank you!!
why did you post this so late? Now i have to stay up and watch!
My bad! 😆
An airmet has 3 items, low level windshear 2000 AGL, Sustained surface winds greater than 30 Knots, and moderate turbulence. You have state three item for Airmet Tango. I am just a student pilot trying to get a check-ride.
Best of luck with your checkride. Keep up the hard work.
Another great video!! Thanks so much for posting, these help out a lot.
Glad you found it helpful!
Wow, you sound like an easy DPE. I think I am going to get your product. I was not able to describe lightening in the mature stage of a thunderstorm. I was issued a discontinuance. PS, I read the tafs and metars correctly.
Thanks for your interest in the ACE Guide! I think you will find it very helpful with your studies.
Pretty low on the X-wind. I have my cross wind at 8 KTS. I landed find at 22 KTS. It's very windy were I fly.
Thank you so much for these series!
You're welcome!
My DPE wants me to have all of this memorized. No looking up anything. That includes knowing all the chart symbols for the Graphical charts. The DPE also asked my how lightening was created. You need to go more in depth on the topics in the ACS.
Sounds like you have some studying to do. I would love to go into depth on every single subject, but this channel is mainly focused on how to use the ACS and what types of scenarios examiners could use. This isn’t a replacement for a good ground school or one-on-one instruction.
How do you update the original version of the ACE guide
I got an email saying that there was an update and a link to download the latest version. I’m sure if you purchased it you can go on his site and download the update.
Send me an email with your name and I can look up your customer account and send you a updated download link. Thank you for your purchase!
You need to get a better camera. It's very blurry. Great information. The weather is the hardest part. Ugg
Check your playback settings, you might have lower quality selected. It should be fairly clear.
Unstable atmosphere gives you thunderstorms, instabilities. Wind-shears. Hot air rises and forms thunderstorms.
Yes, unstable air can cause thunderstorms in the right conditions.
