The ending is horrible any way I look at it and it's a knife to the heart of anyone who loved their relationship (either platonic or romantic). To think that after all we've watched their end was basically spending most of their lives completely apart. It's horrible and now makes me sad watching the Cap-centric movies.
@@XofHope Definitely. It felt very, very forced and did not make sense at all in terms of the arcs that were set out for both Cap and Bucky in the other films. "I'm with you till the end of the line." is not a conditional :/
@@marziyamohammedali999 You have no idea how that ending ruined Steve and the MCU for me. It's so much worse than just leaving Bucky, it completely destroys everything I thought Steve stood for. The fact that the very same writers who have been telling his story from the beginning are the ones saying that's what they intended from the start, forces me to look at his whole character from an entirely different perspective. To think that he was always supposed to be fine and happy while so many bad things happened around him, especially letting Bucky suffer like that, means he was never the kind of person I consider a hero, quite the opposite.

The writers are now claiming that was always their intention but there's plenty evidence that's not true, like a IW interview where they said Steve was supposed to be living with Sharon while he was Nomad. Either way I look at it, I just feel sad and kinda cheated that after all weve watched they thought this was an OK ending. Apparently, many people are fine with it so they obviously feel validated.
