I like how the establishing shot of Larry in this interview is him fidgeting around his pocket for mints. Most other guests would be smiling wildly at the camera or exchanging the usual pleasantries with the guests.

Disagree, Seinfeld is better. Jerry is the difference and he made it more mainstream. Curb is like a version of Seinfeld where the main character is George Costanza. What made Seinfeld work was the dichotomy between Jerry and George. Without Jerry you just have Larry David's annoying antics. I can't binge Curb because of it whereas I can easily binge watch Seinfeld.

Things we've learned: Savannah and Hoda have not watched Seinfeld
I think Hoda definitely doesn't know Seinfeld, or she wouldn't have asked those questions (quitting your job and going back, and the answering machine tape retrieval) even casual Seinfeld/Larry fan would know the answers to whereas Savannah seemed to know. And kudos to her, by the way, for setting Larry up and getting him to riff; ie, the couch pillow bit, the LA/NY bit, and a few others. Good skills shown by her.
