  • In this video, we tackle the task of replacing the worn or damaged belt on our Vevor 8x14 lathe. After approximately 30 hours of use, the belt began to emit a clicking noise due to the loss of teeth. It appears there was an issue with the belt teeth spacing from the factory, but we continued to use it temporarily. Additionally, we're excited to unbox some new tools with you all - a set of reamer bits and counterbore drill bits. Join us as we dive into these upgrades and improvements for our lathe setup!

if you slacken the bolts on the motor you will fit the belt and also use these to adjust the belt tightness , good video enjoying watching them👍

Thanks for the tip! We actually ended up slackening the bolts on the motor to fit the belt and also used it to adjust the belt tightness, just as you suggested. We weren't entirely sure if that was the proper way since we didn't fully disassemble the motor from the lathe to inspect, so your confirmation is much appreciated. Glad you're enjoying the videos! 👍

I started watching your vids primarily to see how to physically change the gears to do threading. I have a different model…the 7x14 YS-1835A, so not exactly the same, there is a lot of similarity. Vevor does an amazingly poor job of documentation as to how to use their product. You have so many little fixes and workarounds! I’ve picked up quite a bit from your channel. Still looking for someone changing the gears though! Subscribed.

Thank you for watching our videos! Unfortunately we did not have much luck with the gear changes ourselves, we will be looking to attempt this again in the near future as we want to do some threading also! With our previous attempt when following the gearing chart, the gears did not make contact with one another.
