Jantar Mantar actually stands for yantra mantra . Yantra means instrument and Mantra means formula. These observatories are constructed by Sawai Jai Singh II in 1724. An astronomical observatory to study the movement of sun, the moon , and other planets . The observatory have a huge sundial to measure the time .
इसे 1734 ई मे राजा सवाई जयसिंह जी ने बनवाया इसमे 13 यंत्र लगे हैं इससे खगोलीय घटना की जानकारी मिलती हैं।

जानकारी और ज्ञान के अभाव में अच्छे अच्छे चीजों, धरोहरों को खराब बोल जाते हैं।
मुझे बहुत बुरा लगा जिस तरह से लोग जानकारी के अभाव में राजा जय सिंह के भौगौलिक ज्ञान का और उनके द्वारा प्रयोगों का मजाक उड़ा रहे हैं।
