In short, "individual" consciousness, when it realizes that it is, in reality, universal, asserts its own freedom. In fact there is no such thing as "individual consciousness", but individualized consciousness: universal consciousness within an individual body.

He still has no idea what liberation is, as it is entirely abstract and does not involve a personal self, only the direct experience of universal Atman, the spiritual Self; only knowing the Self as the Self is enlightenment. And it cannot be grasped by the mind, which is the personal contracted I.
All this distinguishing between pure and reflected... what is needed there is some viveka (I can't believe I dared to use a Sanskrit word in front of an Indian monk!) But it is true, isn't it. What is needed is a distinction between what is transient and what is not. Only the transient part uses words. As far as I can tell by listening to this is that everything in this neighborhood is about the level of zoom. You got to figure out at what level is a question asked, or at what level is some teaching given. Whom are we talking about? The little "i" with all its components, or the big I? Things are not the same as you change zoom. There's always an other picture emerging.

In terms of propositional logic it means.
Reflected consciousness ---> Pure consciousness (but not necessarily the other way around)
Example of mirage comes to my mind

Adwaita Vedantins uses the analogy of rope and snake for Paramatma and Jeeva. More appropriate analogy for Paramatma and Jeevas would be seed and the multitude branches and leaves.

A better question is, why does the perception of the illusion occur? Why does the subject (the only one) think that he is a reflection in the mirror? It seems that the possibility of perceiving an illusion excludes the existence of only one and only subject.

no doubt in Swami a great guru and master I trust his knowledge over most but I just cant see the infinite bliss in myself only the flaws in my reflective consciousness don't even start on the body lol Leaving the body out
patanjali's yog sutras (maybe the commentary by swami vivekananda)..ashtanga marg of yoga is very helpful to me .
