See I couldn't tell if this was actually Cecily's story or not. She could have written the sketch this way to just to be an ally, but it does seem to be her story she's telling right?
I think it was good he didn't, like sending the wrong message. She is strong, not be seen as fragile or sad. And others would say women does not need men approval for anything. Men are not even being punished for the abortion they have 50% participation on it. @UCduX5PnBPcPf_J7REzhW2tw uh no the constitution protects the right to choose, the fetus has none because they aren't alive until they can breath on there own,, it's nothing to do with you, and your opinion means nothing.
@ProRoe yes, it's a choice to get an abortion. I think the "what happened to her" comment refers to finding out she had an unwanted pregnancy, and so being in a position where she had to choose to get an abortion in order to have the future she wanted. And her having to make that choice knowing that women are shamed and silenced if they choose to get one.
@@masakazuishiguro8525 Do you let the US decide every decision you make? Also, are you admitting an unborn baby is less fortunate? Not to be rude, but I'm not sure how your comment *exactly* fits in with the topic. Would you mind elaborating more please?
@@jesusismysavior4985 gtfo with that. Abortion is not "killing babies" and I'm so incredibly fed up with that rhetoric, especially when you don't give 2 f***s about that child once it's born, especially if it's a minority.
Death is not heartwarming. No matter how you politicize it, try to spin it, make it seem like a positive thing... it is not heartwarming. It is not admirable, either. It is sickening.
Was she a victim of rape or incest? No. She got herself into her pregnancy. She should’ve dealt with the consequences. That kid could’ve been the one to create a cure to cancer for all we know. The kid could’ve brought her unimaginable joy. I have no sympathy for an act so selfish. It may be true that I can’t fully relate as a male. I’ll concede that. But I do know that it is fundamentally wrong to murder. I don’t understand why it seems like about half of our country doesn’t seem to understand that. I’m even a relatively liberal guy and I don’t get it. Sure, you could make the argument that they aren’t human yet, they’re a fetus. To that I say, it’s just a technicality. In addition, people should take ownership of their actions. If you consent to having sex, it is on you to be prepared to face any potential consequences. Oh, and that goes for dads too btw. The females may carry the children, but men play just as much a role in getting them pregnant so they must also be prepared to raise a child. Of course, rape and incest are different.

@@tykeorama9898 no need to argue with idiots who actually think SNL is funny. It hasn’t been funny for many years
@@solomonsk6908 Norm is spinning in his grave.
@@hopelessromantic3786 ah, so when SNL makes racist jokes because it fits your racist agenda, it's okay. Anyone that points this out doesn't understand the joke. Got it.
I wish Jost had hugged her at the end. She is an amazing, strong woman. Think about the fact that she did this to be an ally to women knowing that her entire family and everyone who she knows, and ever will know now knows that she had an abortion. That is a lot of privacy to sacrifice to support women’s rights.
Not trying to be that guy, but, they have meetings about all the jokes and they must have thought about this one with care.
But, wow, what a sketch, what a woman, no man can be that powerful.
@@unloveableandre There are several men who can be as powerful and or more powerful.
how about unborn fetuses right to life specifically given to them in the constitution?
@UCduX5PnBPcPf_J7REzhW2tw uh no the constitution protects the right to choose, the fetus has none because they aren't alive until they can breath on there own,, it's nothing to do with you, and your opinion means nothing.
She killed it that was some art on the down low.
Yeah she did kill it allright!
Cecily Strong talking so out loud about what happened to her is stunning, I watched it in silence
As someone who pretty much only watches SNL for Weekend Update the last few years, releasing it whole is genius.
I feel the exact same way!!
Gotta love the propaganda
Cecily’s segment needs to be submitted for an Emmy. It was powerful, poignant, yet funny. She deserves that award.
Cecily deserves an emmy just like a baby deserves life

Not to be rude, but I'm not sure how your comment *exactly* fits in with the topic. Would you mind elaborating more please?
Not sure which I love more, that the whole Weekend Update is up in it's entirety, or Cecily's performance and message.
You like her message about killing innocent unborn babies?
@@jesusismysavior4985 you don’t? what do you do on weeknights then?
@@jesusismysavior4985 I do indeed.
@@jesusismysavior4985 gtfo with that. Abortion is not "killing babies" and I'm so incredibly fed up with that rhetoric, especially when you don't give 2 f***s about that child once it's born, especially if it's a minority.
@@windnwine Wow, straw man argument! Typical of pro choicers. Who said I didn’t care about people after they’re born? Abortion is killing babies.
*"That's just tip of the 'berg, bozo!"* Kenan kills it all the time.👍👍

Cecily Strong's performance = brave, real, compelling, admirable, and heart-warming.
Death is not heartwarming. No matter how you politicize it, try to spin it, make it seem like a positive thing... it is not heartwarming. It is not admirable, either. It is sickening.
@@bigzach1000 you didn't mention anything about rape. And that's the problem.
@@MrTylersmash Rape is not heartwarming, either. I am very sorry that anyone has to go through an abortion or a rape.
@@charlesiverson1769 Some women have been fooled into hating that which they create within their very own bodies... in a sense, they hate themselves.

You probably have. He’s been on tv since the 90s.

Same.
Unfortunately, I find him highly overrated. Everything he does is "similar" to the skit/performance before.

Bout time yall post the whole thang!
