    Dude I love the instructional commentary and strategic advice throughout the workout as you're doing it. So many vids out there with silent workouts or overdubbed stuff after the fact. But the effort here is unreal. Super appreciated!

    Aboit the cybex leg press. The goal is to target the quads.
    I'm a taller guy with longer legs, and putting my feet that low does put a lot of stress on my ankles. Should I work on ankel flexibility and keep my foot placement that low or because of longer legs should i place my foot where my ankel feels more comfortable?

    Hello, I’ve noticed that putting my heels a little bit below the sled on a leg press feels much better, is this okay? Dr. mike from renaissance periodization says you should push off your heels since that will allow you to produce the most force however I find that using your foot placement feels the best for me.

    Wouldn't putting the heaviest toughest exercises at the end of the workout put even more stress on the joints. I get that the joints will be warmer but the muscles don't have the same strength as when their fresh and you end up using more joint because you can't flex the muscle the same way.

    • @JustinShier
      @JustinShier  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      For me my the amount of load I need to use in the beginning of the workout is the issue. I do this to cut back on top end loading and to come to the movement when I’m my absolute warmest. Works for me, I’ve tried all variations lol.

    • @RDYOUTUBE54
      @RDYOUTUBE54 ปีที่แล้ว

      @JustinShier so do you cut back a little on the weight so you can still concentrate on the muscle? Obviously something has to give, you can't do as much weight at the end of a workout as you can at the beginning. It's funny, I have knee problems too but it seems the only time they don't bother me is during my workout. I know it doesn't make sense.
