This could have been just a cheep straight re-location, but SFA, my home park, really went out of their way to make a 22 year old coaster look fresh and brand new again, with some pretty high quality themeing. I hope that if Six Flags keeps re-locating their old coasters to different parks, they put as much effort as this into making them look new.
This is the smartest thing I've ever seen Six Flags do. Not only saving and relocating a great roller coaster but theming it very nicely. This is a fun ride especially in the rain. Very chaotic but not painful. I'm very glad it's not lost.
My guess is Riddlers Revenge. And that's what a quick search seemed to bring up also. I'm old enough to remember the coaster wars and after Cedar Point built their Tallest and Fastest stand up roller coaster called Mantis Six Flags built Riddlers Revenge to be a bit taller and take the crown for biggest.
So basically, the theming will be exactly the same for this when it reopens as Firebird and the only difference will be the name and the trains (they'll be floorless instead of stand-up)?
Yeah. The only parts that are really brutal are the inversions. I go to SFA almost every week when it's open, and don't find it "better" really, it feels the same way it did when I rode it at SFGAm. as Iron Wolf. I feel like it should have stayed there though.

Well...the world didn't end.

Riddler's Revenge currently holds the record for the tallest, fastest, and largest stand-up in the world and took the record from Mantis
This still hurts as much as it did when it was SFGAm., love how they added this coaster the year the world was supposed to end.
I love how this was uploaded on the would-be apocolypse!
Sorry for being pedantic but it actually took the record from Chang at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom (now Green Lantern at Six Flags Great Adventure). :)
This & Swarm at Thorpe Park would look great next to each other as both have disaster theme.
Anyone remember when this was iron wolf at six flags great America?
I wonder if you can still hear that soundtrack now that the coaster has become Firebird.
appropriate day to upload
"The Last Stand"... too many subtle puns going on right now...
beautiful soundtrack
This ride was really fun
Coasterforce, i know you guys get asked alot what im about to say. What camera did you guys use in this particular video?
I still remember my first ride on this at Great America. My favrite ride on a stand up. Mantis gave me a headache and Shock Wave was lame...
that music sounds scary kind of but it matches the theme of this ride. :)

That was epic.
thanks.
How smooth is this compared to Green Lantern at SFGAdv?
coasterforce would you compare this ride to the georgia chorcher?
Did you have the chance to ride/film the coasters there?
Why are the rides at Tokyo Dome City SBNO?
Yeah. The only parts that are really brutal are the inversions. I go to SFA almost every week when it's open, and don't find it "better" really, it feels the same way it did when I rode it at SFGAm. as Iron Wolf. I feel like it should have stayed there though.
CoasterForce, what's your guys' favorite coaster at SFA?
this soundtrack is from battles los angelas.
what about apocalypse at Six Flags Magic Mountain?
Was this playing at the park or did you put it in the video?
Wow nice theaming
I meant Chang as well, but I forgot to write that in
where did you get the awesome music?
A B&M ride being ROUGH? HOW ON THIS GREEN EARTH IS THAT POSSIBLE????!!!!
Looks interesting, though a bit sedate and short. Would have liked to see an actual ride POV though.
you are right! so says Wikipedia :) and before that it was the green latern!
What are the best and worst stand-up coasters?
What is the biggest standing up coaster in the world?
oh my god this coaster hurt so bad!
Almost all the riders were riding this were incorrectly seated! No wonder why a lot of people hate stand up coasters. Stand up people!
How come they only have 8 rides
I didn't think it hurt AT Great America, and I've heard it's better here, but I guess everyone gets different experiences.
this looks like the Goliath at six flags over Georgia
lol that man on 2:06 ,(maybe I saw the underwear?
it was supposedly the end of the world on the 21!
Who wants to see off ride pov?
Is this at six flag guys?
Ryley Wilson Six Flags America, Upper Marlbro, Maryland.....serves Washington D.C. and Baltimore.
Cool Theme. Why couldn't they theme Green Lantern in SFGAD to something more original like this, instead of another "superhero..."
search on youtube : battle los angeles main titles
Green lantern is better i rode both and i have to say for a B&M its pretty rough
lol I get it!!!!
Which is worse mind eraser or this
