      @@E-bikeguyI'm gunna look into them, I've not built my bike yet as I'm still waiting for the hub kit to arrive (tomorrow Yodel are now saying, they let me down once so hmm, I dunno) and I'm waiting on the battery and a couple of Schwalbe puncture proof tyres coming also (don't wanna take any 'blowout' risks at 30mph/+)...
      I'm real excited to do my build, I was wondering with the 1500w kit and a 52v 20ah battery will it be best to order some of this special 10/12 gauge electrical wire? I've been looking at - to go from the battery to the controller (controller will just be a Voilamart one, whichever comes with the kit) ...
      I've tried finding out the specs of the Voilamart 1500w 48v Kit's controller, but try as I have I can't seem to find any info on it...
      Everyone seems to be saying that the 1500/48 kit will handle the 52v20ah battery just fine, but I'm considering doing a shunt mod also (I'll be super careful to only add a small amount of solder and I won't bridge across the shunts((if there's two of them?))..
      I think I might also be best to order some of those heat shrinkable wire connector small tubes to connect any wiring I may have to cut/adjust as I really want to make it look as neat as possible, it bugs me when I see people's builds and there's wiring all messy all over the place...
      Thanks for your help and advice, it's really appreciated, I can tell you know your stuff when it comes to building e-bikes.

    @e-bikeguy - Huge fan -
    Im struggling with a question you may know the answer to. If you have a big battery, and a smaller secondary battery, will there be an issue blowing the smaller battery fuse if the resistance is lower in the smaller battery? How do you wire this to primarily pull power from the big primary battery, and maybe regulate a max amount to come from the smaller battery?
    Idealy pulling a max of 50a from one, and a max of 150 from the primary is what im looking for.

    Hi I am trying to tune the battery capacity meter on the DKD display.
    For some background I have a Surron 60v battery and QS165 and Fardriver.
    I am trying to get the battery capacity of the DKD display to match my battery and Fardriver app.
    For example the meter on my battery reports 80% and battery capacity meter on Fardriver app reports 80% as used the parameters “Full BattCeoff” and “0 BattCeoff” in the Protect section of app to align the battery and Fardriver.
    My DKD display though is reporting 60%.
    I have used the 879 code to set to 60v.
    I am trying to use the 824 code as it’s title is “self input voltage calibration” but when I use this code I get U- on screen and 72.0 at bottom and when I change 72 to 60 I can’t find away to save and I have tried long hold of the right button.
    Have you any pointers on using 824 to calibrate the DKD battery meter.

      Like what are the numbers referring to when changing them Do you know? I changed mine down to 6 But I have my battery line amp set to 70. So do you know is this showing battery amps or phase amps then? Sorry for the questions

      You good byte option 6 just let you see the Amp draw on your display in real time usually default is set to 11

      What are the maximum line amps of your controller? I don’t think it’s 450a like the one shown here. This battery and controller would turn your 3kw motor into a ball of copper very fast. Just ask Dust.
      I have a 3.5kw motor and I’m going crazy in mode 3 all day and night, because my controller peak amps is 27a. No way I would connect it to Ebike guys controller in mode 3 in its current state (untuned, everything set to max).
      Of course the 72850 can be tuned for 3kw, 8kw, and probably 12kw. But right now it’s set for “24kw burn everything in sight” mode. Lol
      He can very easily tune the controller for his motor which would allow better mode 3 control and then modes 1 and 2 can be set to preference in speed and power, either for ECO/NORMAL/SPORT or make it behave like 1000w, 3000w, 8000w so the modes are “Ebike wifey/Ebike Kid/Ebike Guy”.

    • @E-bikeguy
      @E-bikeguy  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @imho7250 lol 🤣🤣🤣 it's set to 450 line amps and 850 phase on mode 3 but I rarely get be in mode 3 I believe in mode 2 is 23kw in mode 1 is 15kw but yes I can tune it just for 3kw lol I believe I can hit 30kw

    • @imho7250
      @imho7250 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@E-bikeguy , yes, my personal preference max for each mode would be 6kw/12kw/24kw. And speed would be set 30/45/60 mph, such that once the top speed is reached, the controller power will decrease 25%-50%.
      These settings would make even mode 1 more powerful than most electric bikes, but it would at least allow the throttle to give somewhat stable control.
      I actually drive my 27a ebike on mode 1 because the throttle control is distributed over a smaller range in speed and it’s less glitchy. In mode 3, even same 27a, a tiny twist of the throttle makes current jump twice as much, torque jumps twice as much, and the bike lunges forward.
      Once I get a better controller it will also have many ways to smooth the throttle and torque such that i can 40a/80a/160a with speed of 30/45/60mph. And most likely I would stay in mode 1 most of the time, and only go to mode 3 to race a 125cc bike. Lol
