Love recreating ark builds from TH-cam to understand layout and techniques and got to say on how much can be done with this build lag is minimal on Xbox one so definitely recommend for starters or to use as f.o.b (forward operating base)

Being a builder myself, I can say this is far from what I’d consider starter base due to the amount of materials used in this build. But anyhow pretty neat.
Hey, Unicorn, I like your build, it looks cool and definitely a nice simple build to start of with ^^ I had some video-making aspekts that you should probably think about tho. As an intro the filming part is nice, you should disable the lens flare in the ark menu, tho. Otherwise people cant see your room but only bright sunlight. The music in the intro is okay, but i think you should turn it down a bit as soon as you start talking, since people will hear you better then. you could also adjust your mic over all a bit, so you are a bit louder. I hope i could help you with that, there is definitely a ton to learn if you start making videos, but you are doing good so far. Have a nice day :)

Very awesome base design. I love it! Fairly large and resource intensive for a "starter", though, isn't it? I'm sure most players will have a base to work from by the time they unlock stone materials, much less greenhouse. I'd say this is something to work towards from the start. A goal to keep one focused on progress from the start! I'm going to try to emulate this in my game. :-)
I love this build. Took me while to place that first block but I got real close to it. Had a to make a few minor chages to make the build work. Thus buikd has also made me rethink my other builds and I plan on making some changes to them.

I love this build, I've spent two days trying to lay the first two rows of foundations with no success. I've tried to go CSI on the video to start in the same exact spot, but I'm not having any luck. Based on what I see at 1:29, there are two rows of stone foundations and then a roof for the third row. However, I can't for the life of me find any spot without obstructions to lay down two rows of foundations. I only play on official servers, so I figured this would be easy.
HE he he I can imagine. Yeah I had this base on official and I had a bit of an issue with alys always coming around. But my gates survived all the attacks due to my dinos being on neutral :)

its the Island and the location is shown on a gps in the start of the vid. Its at the Eastern mountain on the east side of it. Well hahah you can put whatever you want next to it. I would however build this as a starting base and then find a cool location to build a castle at to keep my shit and my wyverens ;)
If you cant fit all the foundations in a row you can always change to celings if that helps. If you are building in the same spot as me just try to make the foundation follow the line between the grass and the gray area. Hope this helps. otherwise let me know and Ill give it another try!
I usually always build with celings as floors... but you can do the same with foundations I guess, but on flat ground the leveling is not going to be possible with only foundations
4:44 How you get the pillars in there without any hickups is beyond me. The ones on top with the stone fence foundation makes sense. However I can't get the building down with pillars working when there are walls or ceilings placed. Not on / in between straight walls anyway. In corners it can work at times. Really trying to figure this because half of my stone pillars disappeared today because they were not snapped. (12x12 stone temple on a PvE server in the middle of a swamp area).
sometimes you have to go place them from the inside, pillars can be tricky and give me so much headache especially when I make staircases (like the one on my waterfall castle vid)
Decided to go for the structure Plus mod now (S+). Much smoother building and the fact that height levels stay the same when mixing foundations, pillars, walls and ceilings across more complex buildings, makes it basically the only option. Aaaand: the "Demo Gun" tool to get back intact structure parts on removal makes it easier to rebuild. Wild Card should really revamp the building mechanics and learn from the S+ mod

Hey, actually the first row is foundations and the second there are 2 foundations in the middle but otherwise its just celings :) hope that helps

This is a hut in ark its really small no brontos and big animals can fit in it also look at other peoples base and compare this is amazing
