- Follow us along through the Adirondack Mountains in the pursuit of brook trout out of our canoes. We encountered splake, snapping turtles, loons, beavers, and all kinds of other creatures!
In this video I tried my best to show just what a pack-in canoe trip to a mountain lake is like, remember… pack light, bring lots of water (and whiskey), and have fun!

Nice fish! I want to get a splake! Just got back from a two day at Newcomb lake. Caught a 30" lake trout right off the bat and lost a pretty nice smallmouth bass. All from shore at fish rock leanto. Was a good time! Mid may same deal kinda. Windy at times but.. Saw some loons too but never seen them race like that before... Very cool captures. Love the ADK's!! Gonna keep trying new places. Always lookin for the next honey hole/killer camp locations. Stay save guys! Fish on!!

I’m looking for a good rod holder but not too expensive. What brand are you using?
i plan on going up to the ADK for 2 weeks with my buddy and his family, we have been goin up there for the past few years and never caught and trout whatsoever, any good spots from experience you dont mind sharing?

A splake, its a hybrid between a Brook Trout and a Lake Trout :)

It's hilarious when people don't state where they are as if it's a secret spot.. you're in a well used public location.. I live close
Yeah lots of people know where it but many dont. Why would you want your favorite spot full of people next time you go?
