- “Bholi Surat Dil Ke Khote” the popular hummable song from the 1951 Albela movie, made by the producer, director and the unconventional hero, Bhagwan dada, was a super huge hit.
Picturised on the dancing super star of Indian Cinema and the evergreen Geeta Bali this song has been reinterpreted now sixty years hence in “Ekk Albela” a Marathi biopic on Bhagwan Dada directed by Shekhar Sartandel starring Mangesh Desai and and Vidya Balan in a cameo as Geeta Bali. C Ramachandra had woven Gujarati folk tune to give shape to this number but the timelessness of this track still continues as it is repackaged by singers Anwesshaa & Vinay Mandke.

There is no doubt about the acting prowess of the awesomely talented Vidya Balan, which is been proved over the time however spare some thought for the man who played the role of Bhagwan dada. I am unsure about the name of the actor, but whoever played the role is splendid and if you watch the original Albela you will find how good the man has potrayed the role of Bhagwan Dada. Kudos for his spendid effort. A big thumbs up for it.👍👍
