Hii...im a doctor and also a mother of a toddler...have to work in night shifts also...... being a doctor and mother at the same time means you have to feel a guilt all the time...because if you focus 100% on job then u ll certainly cant do justice with your kid and vice versa......and last 2 years of pandemic was the most difficult time of my life...means leaving my kid behind and be in quarantine many of times and also be in a fear of passing your kid the infection.....i mean....i think only a mother can understand all this....i think its a high time that government hospitals must have a small nursery .....afterall doctors have same emotions too..... infact every workplace must have a little nurery.....

She got shifted to some other city but always used to wish her on her birthdays and reminded us to vaccinate her from time to time (till the age of 10 years) We are grateful to her.

I made a career shift after I had my child.I was never convinced of keeping my own kid with a caretaker or daycare centre no matter how trustworthy they seem to be.I am self employed,I work from home and able to look at my child 24/7.There should be at least one responsible person in the family at home to take care of your own child because nothing is worth more than your little and priceless bundle of joy.

Very important issue. Not only for children but senior citizens too. What I mean is - older parents too don't tell us if caretakers are misbehaving with them. After trying with few caretakers to look after my father, I finally had to give up my job to be there for my father.
Difficult decision and financial implications too but then parents sacrifice so much more for us.
No regrets for my decision. I am lucky that my brother is taking care of major finances and I am trying out different things that I can do from home. Let's see what happens 😀
But one thing for sure - now I may not be able to trust any caretaker; some are good but rarely so!

A very eye opening video for working couples with young children or elderly parents.
Babies and elderlies are vulnerable and both need TLC.
The reason my husband and I worked different shifts, so we didn't have to hire a baby sitter. I was aftaid to trust anyone with my children.
Many parents doesn't have those opportunity to work different shifts, so they really need to verify the credentials of these caregivers. My friend is with elderly parents and suffer a lot. She was in the office one day, and saw on CC tv footage that the home health aide took her mom out with slippers and a thin blanked wrapped around her on a freezing cold day to the supermarket despite of my friend telling her not to take her mum out. The aide, turned her phone off so my friend couldn't contact her and scold her.
My friends mom caught pneumonia. She's 92 years old.
Such things are always happening. It makes me think it was better when we all lived in joint families truth be told.
    Loved the video.

Thanks to covid, it proved that everyone can work from home without any issues. Working mothers and fathers should choose work from home alternate weeks to look after their kid well :)

I am a mother of twin daughters and before them had an amazing work career in the mnc sector for over 15yrs. However once my daughters were born I left my job n though I am in a joint family, my point is that a mother can understand the spoken n most important unspoken needs of a child n that cannot be fulfilled by anybody else. Also considering the kind of people we have around us, I rather be with my girls. To each to his/her own. I have worked a lot, been there done it all n maybe hence I don't mind being a full time mom.

Yes.. child is more important than job or carrier.. I think woman can take a break for 2/3 years and take care of the child as little baby needs a mom in this most important crucial period of there life.. woman can also enjoy the motherhood.. afterall job is always there but the happiness you will miss of these times will not come back again whereas carrier and job is always there..

WFH was / is a facility given to only private company people... Think about those employees working in government sector who didn't even have a single day WFH in full pandemic... How they managed with their little ones when no daycare was working as per ministry guidelines and seniors were not permitting to bring their kids to bring to workplace.... Life is not easy.... Oh my , this is my story.. 15 years back i also used to leave my 6 months old daughter with a care taker lady who had previously been working with my in-laws for 20 odd years, so kind of trustworthy.. One day when suddenly I came back from work v early and found the house locked from inside. I rang door bell repeatedly for ten minutes, but she didn't come to open the door. I panicked, those were no mobile days.. no CCTVs .. i started shouting, crying , trying to smell for gas leak, looking for some clues for burgers' entry / some mishap desperately. but nothing, nothing I could smell ,see and no response from inside. In panick, don't know from where I got the strength , i broke open the door in one kick , and then found the lady sleeping on bed after having some kind of desi nasha and my child was also sleeping with her as she gave that drug to her too. ..

Never leave your child alone with a nanny without a camera set up . There are so many options available in the market and they are not expensive at all. You just need a wifi connection and install the app on your phone. You can see your child and talk to him through the camera . If you find a good nanny its great but always have a camera and make sure the nanny knows you are watching all the time. Little ones can't speak for themselves and it's the parents responsibility
