I think whats most ppl miss is that Purity of Fire needs to be lv 21 Corrupted and then you need +2 to get it to 23 so it gives 5%fire max resistaance. I was missing this but tracked it down eventually.
Part of my issue with relying on purity of fire for 90% is that it means maps with reduced aura effect noticeably reduces your restances. (additionally if I could get the required res from gear, it means I could use other auras and/or reduce the number of aura nodes to allocate)
@@JayTheProduct Which build would suffer "brutal" effects from less aura effect bro? 99% of the builds only use aura to give EXTRA, BONUSES that wont make or break the build, only make it stronger, meaning less aura effect will only reduce not remove. There are alot of brutal map mods, less aura is not one of them. Examples: cannot leech, cannot regen, reflects, those are brutal and make or break mods that one or two can destroy 95% of the builds, if not all. Less aura wont break anything
Superb vid. Ran RF Inquis last league after building Nova Archmage and fell in love with RF immediately. Stacked 10K ES and 1.1M damage dot, but res was all over the shop. This time running RF Chief and everything is smooth as butter. Currently at 87 max res so gotta level up Purity then get +2 socket. Thanks for the tutorial!

I think 2 jewels with +2 Fire Resistance and burning damage/increased life/something else is an alternative. You can respec "Prismatic Skin" (4 points) and invest in 2 jewel sockets in the skill tree Respecc corrupted blood immunity to the Nomadic Teachings node. (Tranlate by deepl from Gemany)

Hey just quick question. Your PoB shows you are using Melavelence but the build you are using uses Fleh and Stone instead of tempest ? Just asking if thats correct. I run atm Tempest, Stone, Skitterbots and Purity of fire. Do we still add Melavelence on top of that ? In PoB you have it instead stone, and got path to get extra resertvation space, but on your actual character info when viewed you dropped it. Which one is correct ? Also is Endurance Cry our only way to generate endurance charges ? Looked it up on FAQ but no info about it. Considering we specing a lot in to extra endurance charges would like some clarification on that. Thanks !

I was looking at your pob for like half an hour and was asking myself where the last percent of fire res was coming from until I realized it was the aura effect
Took me like half an hour the other day to realize my tempest shield was linked on my weapon to lifetap. Made it so I couldn’t get auras all in. Dunno if that might help someone 🤷♂️
I'm level 44, I'm just got at act 5. But I already maxed the resistances without much effort in gear. My resistance will go down when I got the right equipment at high level? I'm following your guide to the letter after I used a broken witch minion guide. I realized when I was at the end of act 4 and isn't salvable. Great guide btw.
Was wondering where are the max res go, follow the trees and found the boot and the jewel, but didn't expect the total 23 level purity of fire until I saw the video and found out you can just check where the res comes from.
@@zeebpc he specifies that if you are on a lower than 23 purity, you need the additional aura effect node to hit the breakpoint (6% total from purity). Something is missing from that explanation because even once I get that additional node, purity is only granting 5% max fire res. regardless, I just put 1% on my boots lol
Just a thought though, would it be worthwhile to just get all the required max res from gear so we could free up the aura reservation from purity of fire and/or reduce the number of aura nodes we need to allocate?
I was having a ruff time of it running 86% resistance and trying to increase my armor thinking the last 4% didn't have that much of an impact, so I ended up buying 2x blue 2% max fire res gems and replacing the fire multi ones I had in and I went from falling over all the time to being basically immortal (level 90 block based) I roll through everything unless I choose bad map mods
I have lower than 23 gem and have to use 2 nodes. for some odd reason, i do not get the 90% res. when i put my max fire res gem in, i instead, get 82 rather than 83% fire res. Was wondering why

The chest gives 40% phys taken as fire(you can use lightning coil for 50%, but is expensive) and the boots givew you the buff adrenaline(100% damage.25% mov spedd, 10% phys dmg reduction)

Regarding your suggestion of the Lightning Coil, the coil says psysical damage from hits, whereas the the other just says physical damage. Would that make a difference?
i think its just people didn't really read & understand the skill tree, gear mods, unique, etc etc (yes i still can't understand sometimes), and also for new players you have to use wiki/poedb, something like breakpoints, minimum item level for mods, everything

1 more level to your purity of fire is needed for all this to occur you have to make sure that you get +1 fire skill gems from somewhere like your weapon and +1 from your boots and then slot everything into boots

O switched to block base with the shield and cloak and I a’m squishy still I think I found the problem so of I am not fire res capped with cloak I will be squishy?

Easiest way is to vaal corrupt a lv 20 gem, hope you hit the lv 21 mod and then get some global modifiers on your gear that increases the level of gems
Pohx I like the videos you make, but I'm sorry to say the info you presented in this video is wrong. A lv21/22 Purify of Fire + 2% max fire resis (from either equipment or jewel) + all nodes you mentioned in this video gives 89% max fire resis. You must have an all fire skill gem + 1 mod on your weapon in this video. At 0:32 you can clearly see your own POB says 89% fire resis. In order to achieve 90%, you need either +1 all fire skill gem, or another 1% from equipment/jewel, along with the set up you mentioned in this video. Hope you can see this.

Doryanis institute. Try looking that up on poewiki. It's a room in incursion that can modify gems. You can buy a temple that includes that from trade site, for around 65 chaos. It's not a certain chance you get it, it's a bit of a gamble....
Somehow my fire res is at 90% put doesnt convert max res into cold and lightning which are stuck at 79 (75 base + 2x2 from passive nodes)...anyone able to point me in right direction? thanks! @PohxKappa
Admittedly, this could be a skill issue!! ;) I simply can't get this build good this league! Last league I had the defiance of destiny and unnatural instinct setup and I felt almost immortal in t16 (still could not and can't touch t17's). This league with block base I get some good t16 running...Still only have 1 voidstone. GOD DAMN this game is hard. 3000 hours played now.
I just ran my first t17 on Playstation, 5link Cloak of flame single cluster, shaper shield with only the Recover 4% life on block (being relevant)and I AFK d The Fortress boss 😂
Kaoms Heart chest is back to 1000 maximum life, what about using that again now? Going old school? It’s like easy 10k life again, amazing damage and survival, old school jug build but this time going block with regen on block and 10k life 😱
@@Westbase6432it’s not that much you loose, RF scales of your life and getting 12k life will compensate. You can just go chieftain, don’t need to go jug, but with all the life modifications in 3.25, rings and all going up in life pool and with 1000 life kaoms, easy 12k, get godly gear and you hit 15k and you never die, afk FT it all, and remember how they changed endurance charged, easy 30% more elemental damage reduction on Jug.

Because in most, if not all, cases, Chaos Res is the exception and not the rule. Iirc, chaos isn’t even balanced against having max res, it’s balanced as though everything has 30 res.

i think his amulet is +1 all fire gems that is why. it was lost on me too.

Bro u need a + 2 to all socket AOE gems gloves ( betrayal craft or unveil) so, 21 gem + 2 = 23 with the 10% aura effect on the tree voila, 6%

other than buying the fractured dot multi on the sceptre, is the recipe for +1 fire still an option
