What I miss is the Background noise, the little mistakes, the camera quality and sound quality or lack of. For most of us we look for ASMR because of a feeling we had in real life. most ASMR for me now is too perfect. I do enjoy Lofi but for me I much prefer unintentional or intentional yet made to feel unintentional lol

Honestly I love the evolution of Gibi. All forms of Gibi had to exist for us to get present Gibi. The only thing from "old Gibi" that I miss only because I don't think you've done one in a while is that you did some coloring book videos. I'd love another coloring video! But you don't have to cosplay as 2016 Gibi to make it XD

I personally think the lower quality mike actually give a very very tingly lofi quality. I didnt realize until now, that at least some of the tingles i used to get atually stemmed drom lofi sound in the videos^^

I think it's just the slow triggers, her videos are more fast paced now, but slow and soft triggers might be what's for you

@thebasedone2621 Oh that's interesting that he prefers 1080p over 4K. I guess it's because nowdays you can easily upscale to 4K with AI and he probably deletes the 4K videos from his pc after he uploaded them cause this way he has a lot more storage space.. or maybe 1080p cams have some other benefits..
A throwback mini series actually sounds awesome! Like every few months revisiting the classic triggers and the older equipment gives it a pseudo lofi effect. But even just the older style of video sounds really cool :)

I will say I watched ASMR way more so in 2016 and 17. There was just something about the mics and camera quality from those years. The lofi nature of quality, at least for todays standards, gives those videos a certain charm. Now it's all about the best camera and the best mic, thousands of dollars on the best soundproof set. It's because of that mindset, you lose me and I no longer GAF about this type of content.
I started watching ASMR 8 years ago (💀 WHAT?!) And you were the first asmrtist I heard, my sister gave me her headphones to try one of your videos. Since that one moment I haven’t stop following you. Watching this reminded me about 2016 and all asmrtists I‘ve followed and how me and all asmr community has changed. Thanks for all this years of content, I will never able to give all the help asmr gave me.

I think they’re talking about the style of videos and how most of her new ones feel less personal and intimate and became a bit overkill in the visual department. It all comes down to personal preference.

I agree but I also miss her simple videos of just talking and doing personal attention of repetition videos right now she’s focusing on role plays more than actually just the simple videos that she used to upload all the time. As a person who watched Gibi from 2016-2017 her channel got so much better but I do sometimes miss the simple personal attention videos

As much as a joke I know this is. I just wanted to let Gibi know that I like her new content, the new cozy but realistic look to her videos (especially her backgrounds, idk how to explain the blurred out backgrounds other than they look rather edible.) the quality of the sounds and the editing (Shawn your doing amazing 👏👏👏) the amount of effort Gibi, Shawn and anyone else who helps gibi in the backgrounds of the makings of her videos is incredible to me. People need to change to grow especially when it’s someone’s channel who has to keep up with the forever changing world. Keep it up gibi and LOVED the tingly video 💕💕💕💕
I so loved today-gibi repeating and showing us younger-gibi again. Loved it!❤ but truly happy there is a gibi providing us so much creative relaxation and occasional relaxed laughs among other feels, at all.

Old chaotic Gibi was definitely fun no doubt. The improvement in the quality is wild but I personally did enjoy this video more than a lot of the recent ones

I think people less miss how you were and moreso miss how they were back then, less responsibilities, worries, etc. Be the Gibi you want to be! That said, I do appreciate the nostalgia; maybe (only if you want) you should do this throwback-type-thing a time or two per year?
