...yeah gimbals aren't really going to make too much a difference here. Using the 'gimbal' mode will reduce your rate of fire by 50% and has horrible tracking like it has always had, and the people that use fixed weapons will continue to use the fixed gimbal weapon mode without the penalty. The increased damage on gimbals won't be enough to offset how terrible the tracking is (which is good) and ROF reduction.
If "all guns are gimballed" also means "all guns can gain a fixed weapon bonus" then I'm all in on running my ships with nothing but fixed guns for the DPS bonus.
i think i'm going to chock this up to many things just so happening to come online at the same time. not necessarily that things are progressing that much quicker. hopefully i'm wrong, though
They are size 5 for MM testing, but will likely go back to S4 for the PU since they need to rework the Connie to allow for it without the weapon clipping through the floor when it's landed.

what im wondering is will a size 3 mount have a size 3 gun with gimble or size 2 with gimbles
S3 gimble will now hold a S3 gun, Currently to gimble a weapon you have to attach a size down.

So now the Cutlass has the same gimbeled firepower a Freelancer? I don't agree with that. But throwing gimbals onto kartual's size 4 weapons I do.
What about the connie bottom weapons? Are they stil limited to size 4?
