I think the Zeus CL will have a similar problem to the Taurus - that being the awkward cargo grid with its 3-high layout. Especially with the new cargo missions, which often feature 32 SCU containers - any time you have to transport more than 32 SCU of a single item (per objective). You just can't fit more than two in a Taurus (well, on the grid anyway), and you likely won't be able to do so in the CL either. Not that they are the only ships with such a problem. I watched a buddy of mine try to do cargo missions in an MSR, and while he was able to load 3 32 SCU containers, it was a really tight fit and they definitely weren't on the grid. I imagine the Fatlancer would have a similar problem with a large part of its cargo hold being behind a small door. I learned my lesson, though it took me a long time, when I applied the Cutty Black->C1 CCU. I definitely won't apply the Zeus CL CCU until I've had a chance to thoroughly test it ingame. ...it sure does look good, though...

My first bounty the npcs ran into me full speed several times. Very annoying.

Currently have a Taurus and full disclosure had a FL Max before that. Needless to say for me the CL fits a sweet spot between those two.

People are getting some of these ships and their size designation mixed up bad... The Taurus is an upgrade in every way to the CL. In fact, the CL is a little brother if you will. The C-1 is not comparable to the CL at all, it's more comparable to the Cutless-Black. The Freelancer MAX is comparable to the CL. So while we're all entitled to our preference for sure, It's a good idea that some of you realize that these ships aren't directly competing with each other. Please don't make the mistake of looking at the components of the CL and assuming it's the "better ship" because of it. All ships will get a change to their components eventually.

Taurus was one of my first ships and my daily for a long while, until i swapped to the corsair. Now i fly the c1 as my daily and while the zeus is tempting, i love the c1 and dont plan to swap

connyt T is a really good ship BUT- struts blocking the sight is a huge drawback ... elevator acces is not for me, i prefer ramps and its just OLD. BUT its going to out damage the CL so much its not eeven funny :D so Conny is probably going to be a better ship

The Taurus was my second pledge, right after the Freelancer MAX - in a time when both ships weren´t even available yet and "only" their base versions, the Freelancer and the Constellation Andromeda, were offered as stand-ins to fly out of Port Olisar. Stopped playing after a short time, went back in after 2 years for a quick hop... and only returned in force earlier this year after another 4 years. Been adding and removing ships in my account, even had removed those first two from it... but by now they are both back and here to stay, especially with the upcoming cargo update. I foresee great use for the Constellation Taurus, with the central freight deck coming completely down and being easily loadable. Well armed, well shielded and a stylish classic look to boot, the Constellation series still offers some of the most versatile ships in the game, at least to me. In my book not even the excellent Corsair can replace the Constellations - and believe me, I´ve tried. It´s a close match between the Connies and the Corsair. The Corsair only wins out if your first concern is raw gunpower and, surprisingly, larger travel range. Everything else goes to the Connies.

Prediction. You'll get the CL, fly it for a bit and then feel silly for giving up the extra cargo / smuggling area / combat ability etc. Don't fall for new and shiney when it does so many things worse.

This appears to be broken as of 7/11/24. No option to INSERT the Tigerclaw.

If I only had a Cutlass Black, or Freelancer, the Zeus would really appeal me. but if I had a Cat or Hercules, the Zeus would be redundant. I think EVERYBODY should have a Connie in their hangar. So I would not trade a Taurus for a Zeus, unless I had a Phoenix or Andromeda, and ALSO had a larger cargo ship. That Taurus is gonna make a big difference in earning if you don't have bigger. I am expecting 1.0 earnings vs costs to be WAY different than what we have seen in Alpha.

Hey mate, would love to have a copy of your icons if you don't mind. I just have the original deck, I've had it since before the others even came out. I use it every time I'm at my PC. <3 For sure setting up and configuring binds is a good bit of the fun. I wouldn't mind skipping some of the image work though :P already having enough fun with that on making a pretty mapping image for the hosas binds XD

If you already own a stream deck this is a good option If you dont, this is not a cost effective method compared to gametouchcontroller or even game glass

Hmm I'm struggling with all the keys this looks like a worthwhile purchase.

I still to this day would like different bindings for opening just the cargo door and o e for all doors lol.

You never get to old to game, ya just get a little slower and employ things like a stream deck.

it's actually brilliant for SC. I use the new one with the dials. For all your mining/salvage controls and things you don't need quickly in combat (like contacting ATC) it's great. It also has built in integration with things like Discord, so you can join channels, change peoples individual volume etc easily. great device.

How do you set this up?

I bought the original Stream Deck for Star Citizen and upgraded to the XL a few years ago, I love it because SC has so many keybinds and it just makes it so much easier, thanks for the video.

You would almost believe that you were targeted by a trolling hacker but once you open your mind to that possibility it becomes even harder to motivate yourself to log in. I just stick to cargo last 3 weeks as everything else is just too broken to be fun

Taurus is my go to, made sure i slowly upgraded to it so i will always have it, it's just too good for pve bounties and stripping the cargo afterwards. It's even more of a beast in 3.23!

Your a Noob, no one has a Taurus who's been playing a while, well not intentionally anyways. In with the old, out with the new.

The potential is amazing, but if the distribution Centers are not secured by AI it all falls apart imO. The last thing anyone wants is to have to deal with pirates blowing shit up while you have a mission to load up 200 SCU of cargo one by one. This system isn't pyro. It should be secure enough to at least get the cargo in the ship and be able to safely leave the place

Honestly, I still have a hard time deciding between the Freelancer MAX and Connie Taurus as my solo starter ship. Sure, the Taurus has bigger guns, better shielding and a convenient tractor beam, but it also is nearly twice as long (bigger target) and in the end will require more upkeep (it's a size 4 ship when the Lancer is a size 3) and eventually fit through less jump points... Both can carry a NURSA + ROC. I don't mind the struts in the Connie (makes it look very iconic) and I love the space truck "dashboard" of the Freelancer, so it's a tie here. Components are in the back in any case so, again, tie. I love the Connie AND the Freelancer, but I feel like the Lancer will be more suitable when used solo...

I'll continue to play the game as is. Even if it doesn't get any better, it's still my favorite online game.

I got an eye on the Zeus ES cause I want a multi-role-capable exploration ship and the Aquila doesn't cut it for me, at least not compared to the other Connies. My favorite is the Phoenix, the passenger area is godlike and the PDS is probably even more enticing than the improved scanner of the Aquila. If they gave it a lot more speed to get around I might consider it, but for now I struggle to even justify the Zeus as a replacement. It's a bit of a Spirit situation for me.
