out of about 10 live versions of this song I've seen on youtube and live, this one has to be nominated as one of (if not) the best. and it is beautifully filmed as well, a perfect blend of audio and visuals.
Wow. Great artist at work and a lovely video. She was on a CBC radio show here in Canada this morning. I heard her for the first time. I just became a huge fan.
This is an absolute piece of art. Man, first I completely fall into her music about 3 months ago, and then your camera work is really really interesting, thank you very much for this one. You should collaborate with her, I assume this is beautiful as a painting.
@lapsainis =havent heard 10 versions yet (and every live version tops the studio one) & this rules.. but the "Anna Calvi - Love won't be leaving (live from Arte ) .avi" version is pretty staggering...had to fumble around on the floor for my jaw after I saw it.
@TheZayebal=great..she's got expressive range in her 2 instruments (vocals & guitar) from silence to a whisper to scream,0 to 100. I'd even say go to 3:00 as the beginning of the 'solo'/interlude (it even sounds like she's saying "solo' but think it is so long) when she very importantly starts playing nearly & sometimes totally zero so that there is maximum drama & nuance &buildup to 100..& back again. Exquisite taste.sometimes less=more..sometimes more=more.& 'naught'. How very 'naughty' Anna
the response is long overdue, but yes, I agree, that the solo part in (live from arte) is even more elaborate and impressive.I wasn't entirely happy with the levels on "arte", after all, it's her solo, that's the culmination of the whole composition, she has to stand out - and I didn't quite get that from the "arte" version. the sound engineer.. well, could've done better. The performance itself was nothing short of astonishing, though.

Trés trés belle vid', from France :)
She can certainly play!
Stunning talent! Thought I was hearing David Gilmore during her solo! Hope she never sells out and keeps up the inspiring creative process.

She might meet a devil at crossroad.
