I'm just now finding this wonderful video, oh my goodness what a slice of heaven this woman has created. Such inspiration. The brick wall in the back yard, the nook that she built in that corner, just absolutely blows me away. I wish this was an Air B & B, cause I want to go stay there for a few days. She has brilliantly layered her landscaping like a work of art. I am slowly, and as money allows, working on creating my own slice of heaven in my own back yard. Based on this video, and all of Linda Vater's videos, I have the knowledge to get there. Thank you so much for sharing your private homes and gardens with the rest of us that are looking for great ideas and simple projects that we can do ourselves, as time and money allows.
@@LindaVater I got a Garden Journal, as you advised, and have been keeping it up to date. I loved that idea and it has proven to be very valuable. I have a meditation/reading area like you do Linda, and mine faces my back yard and the bird feeders which I enjoy. It's the simple things in life, and the sweat equity of my property has gone way up, I never want to move again. It is a slow process, but if it went by too quickly, what would we do with ourselves ? I would be re-arranging the furniture inside my house again and again. Like-minded, Restless souls. We might be watering the flowers at midnight. Don't mind me, I'm enjoying my garden, even in the dark.

Joy Whitley there is a recent-ish video from Bunny Guinness, English professional garden/landscape designer, where she discusses and demonstrates the process of removing the bottom of pots for permanent plantings. So interesting! But it must take a lot of courage to cut into pots that are very expensive! 💪🏻 cheers!
