Gave a video like. Really cool cards! Loved hearing about the set and player Red Grange who is likely represented on the front of the cards. Thanks for sharing, as I will know more about them if I see them out and about. Congrats on finding the complete set!
Thanks Hodges! Glad you enjoyed the video! Yeah, this set/game has an really interesting story. I was happy I was able to find the full set in any condition. Have a great weekend!
Hello Tony , very interesting and informative video. I didn't know Red Grange also played in defense. Great catch about the same colors (navy blue and orange) as the University of Illinois and the Chicago Bears. Would be nice to pickup the board about this game. I received my both Ya-Lo cards made in 1925 or 1934...😀. During my youth i created some sports board games with dices and bottles cap seals, unfortunely i didn't have the commercial succes as the board game Monoply....😁. I will right now subs to the Decatur daily newspaper for two months...😁
Thanks Fabien! Glad you received your cards! Yeah, Grange was a two-way player, and one of the best of his era. Very cool! I would have loved to try one of your game creations! Haha! I need to get a subscription too! Have a great weekend!
When I first saw the cards, I actually thought Red Grange and the Illini. I did the best I could but was there a card that said, Throw it deep and get a PI flag? 😂
It’s definitely an interesting story, and there is a lot of evidence suggesting that it is indeed Red Grange depicted on the cards. If it is ever proven, that would be amazing! Haha, that’s funny! I wouldn’t be surprised!
These are amazing! These are about a Century old just about! These are 99 Years old as of today! Thanks for sharing!
Yeah, I thought about that when I bought them. 100 years old next year!
Another excellent showcase of some cool cardboard. The history behind the cards is always so interesting. Thanks Tony, great share.
Thanks Maiden! Glad you enjoyed the video! Have a great weekend!

Wow, I've never seen those Ya-Lo cards before. Super cool set, and so old! 👍
Thanks Brian! This is the set I was talking to you about last week. Could this be Red Grange? The evidence is pretty compelling!

Now this one... this one I am really interested in. A lot. The fact that even back then they had some semblance of a TCG?
Yeah! This very well might have been the first football TCG. The story about the game is just as interesting.
