It is unwatchable when Russell Westbrook is stat padding:
- Ball hogging and excessive shooting to get points. [7:30]
- Unnecessary passing to get assists. [5:22]
- Fighting with teammates to get rebounds. [6:18]
- Ignoring defence responsibilities for rebounds.
- Excessive turnovers because the number is not part of triple double.
- Mistaking personal numbers for team success, e.g. Russ thinks that he has done his part simply because he got his triple double.
Sometimes, Russ even gets angry if his teammates don't help him achieve his triple double.

After watching Russell Westbrook play on the lakers, I’m convinced all his triple doubles means absolute nothing. Guy is a disaster.
He's truly to his core a losing basketball player. Lowest IQ I've ever seen from a star player and an egomaniac on top of it. Those triple doubles don't overcome being a losing basketball player.

Westbrook is the ultimate litmus test to see how much someone watches the game and how well they understand it. He is the most overrated player in NBA history, Allen Iverson is probably second, Kobe third. Westbrook is the most decision maker in NBA history amongst stars, such a low basketball IQ because he's an egomaniac. Can't hit a shot, not a good defender, he really is good at one thing on the court, driving to the basket, and making the basic pass when a team helps, he can make the obvious pass, that's all he does well on the court. OKC choosing him over Harden was insane.
This video is ageing like wine. Russ chokes once again in the playoffs and his stans sweep it under the rug as usual and blame everyone else as if he’s still in his prime and the number one option on his team. He’s clearly washed up but no one wants to admit it

I just stumbled upon this video and I couldn’t agree more. This is the stuff I’ve been tellin people for years. To me, as far as superstar, all-star, MVP, etc. athletes go, he’s the most overrated athlete in history in my opinion. With all his accolades, if you could consider that type of athlete trash, it’d be him. I subscribed, by the way

Everything you said was true. But I don't think he's over rated. His mvp was won, not because of triple doubles, but because he played with passion and heart, compared to harden, who doesn't have a heart as far as I'm aware. And nobody has him in their top 40 all time. I'd say Karl Malone or, harden himself, are more over rated.

You're crazy my guy even a couple year ago there were people thinking he was all NBA level. He won an MVP and he wasn't even a top 10 player, if that's not overrated idk what is.

lol the crazy part is I really think they may both get it this year together. But I think we would have to give Harden way more credit as the lead ball handler where as Russ will likely be riding the bench in crunch time. But no I don't think he was top 5 that year either, maybe in terms of production because he plays every game and a lot of minutes but if you look at advanced stats like RAPTOR rating for that year, he was 9th behind Kawhi, Steph, Durant, Chris Paul, LeBron, Jokic, Harden and Jimmy Butler. And that was in his absolute best season, and AD and Giannis were behind him, which I think we all agree they were better just not having their best years, so that would put him at 11th, would you honestly rather have Russ over any of those guys in a game for your life with his decision making, bad defense, and shakey shooting, in a team context, I'm not. A year later he 15th. The year before he was 7th. Not to mention his game absolutely falls apart in the playoffs when teams can spend more time strategizing for him. He's the most overrated player in NBA history, this generations Iverson, because they put up big numbers on traditional box score, but if you actually watch the games and look at advanced stats it's very apparent they aren't upper echelon elite status. He's my litmus test for if someone actually understand and watches the NBA, if someone thinks he's up there with those guys I mentioned before, I know they've got a low NBA IQ. @@maniacj5245
Honestly I'd rather have a super smart guy that plays his role that's less talented and less productive, like Mike Conley, that knows he's not the alpha on the court than Russ. I think you put Conley on that Thunder team and they probably beat the Warriors in 2016.@@maniacj5245
