I think you may be confusing character tickets for Rental tickets. When you use a locked character, it utilizes the rental tickets to "rent" them out, and you get more every 8 hours or so
Uninstall the beta version entirely, then close and reopen the store. It should pop up. If it doesn't then try changing the Version in the store, i think the option is in the top right of the Ultra Rumble page. There should be videos online kinda explaining further, but i had a similar issue on my PS5.

Seems like a waist of crystals. I personally just save them. Get pro and play normal until you unlock. Anytime you get paid currency for free in a ftp game you should keep it until realize what’s smartest buy. Especially a gotcha driven game like this
I believe there is a season timer and there is a good chance it may. However, it really doesn't take long to unlock all the stuff in the event, ive already gotten everything :)

Do NOT buy them with hero crystals, just play the game and use the Hero crystals for the license and premium daily

You have to complete the Event Missions, you should see them under the Event tab, then select Event Missions
