I am from poland so this makes me happy seeing people making videos about skiing with us! PS: It's pronounced /zah-ko-paa-ne/ (E sounding like Elephant) in Polish or /zah-ko-paa-nuh/ in American pronunciation. PPS: Fun Fact: Zakopane means "buried" referring to the snow :)
It was amazing visiting Poland we loved it so much. It ended up being one of the best places we went last year 🙏🏻 Thanks for the pronunciation we are terrible with places! Abbie
Cafe Tygodnik Podhalański - awesome spot overlooking Zakopane - food was cheap and not great but it was a really good spot for drinks. SUSHI OMAKASE - great sushi if you like sushi! Was so reasonably priced too Cafe Piano - really cool hidden bar/pub Appendix Cafe Bar - another nice bar we went too Trattoria Adamo - some of the best Italian pasta we’ve had! So good we went twice Sorry our recommendation aren’t local cuisine - we’re vegetarian and we really struggled to find vegetarian options in the polish restaurants! ☺️🍽️ Abbie
what was the name of the skiing slopes you went to in the video footage. never been skiing before and it looked like a great place to start with it being quiet. what was the costs?
Hello Michael! 👋🏼 the name of the slope we went to was Polana Szymoszkowa - I can’t remember the exact cost but it was extremely cheap for skiing! I think no more than £10-£15 per day. It was an awesome place to learn to ski and Zakopane was also incredibly cheap for eating out etc.
@@DavidandAbbie1 Highly recomended for begin is Bialka resort many location (my top is Hotel Bania Thermal & Ski) - just google it. All my family have started skifun there. Last January I had there gr8 fun with many Irish PPL.
Would you choose Zakopane over the Alps? Let us know!
yes, Alps are overhyped and overpriced. Tatras is something else, new.
Brilliant 😁
When you two are famous (TH-cam famous 😃) don’t forget I was one of your 1st subscribers 👋♥️

We loved it there! 🥹
Seems like you found your peace in a beer bath. Way to go. Ill follow.
👍
Do they have some lockers to store your things in the place you go for ski ?
What was the name of the first place you went to with the easy slope?
Hi David and Abbie, would like to ask which month did you go ?
Is the ski available in early December ?
Hello - we actually went in May which was right at the end of the season. I would definitely recommend going earlier in the year.
What places for drinks and food would you recommend, we’re going around paddy’s weekend

Get that butt forward! Leaning forward is key:) Great fun and effort (knees over toes)
Hahah thanks for the tip, we’re hoping to go skiing again this December so I’ll let you know how it goes 😂⛷
In what month did you guys go there? It's so quiet for a beginner's slope!
We went in late March… A little less snow, but a lot less people!
When did you guy go?
We went in mid-March last year 😊
Its not a shop its a renting place that's why you need ID 😂
Lesson learned! 😂
