It would really make things much easier for you if you were on the right trail to the springs. In the summer you cross the river at camp then the trail has you cross 2 more times. This is the shortest and easiest way to get there. Winter time, you follow a trail that leads you to the backside of the power plant. There you will find a dirt road that you follow until it is lowest to the river bottom and you can see an obvious trail leading off to the left. This takes you to a crossing knee to waist deep. Then you follow alongside the river downstream until you get to the tubs. The way you took is the way people who don't know how to get there go. There are so many people who don't know where they are going that they've actually beaten down a faux trail.
@@wallyd5379 yeah we had no idea. Also people we came across and asked. They all were crossing in different parts of the river. This information would have been helpful. I guess my video shows what not to do. 😂
@@saracondit6031 to be honest with you, my first trip there was in 1998. My buddy that I went with had only been there 1 other time. Some friends of ours were already there so when we arrived we came to an empty camp. My buddy and I decided to head to the springs even though it was already dark. We followed the north bank of the river like you did bushwhacking our way through the dark. After a while thinking we were going to die in this river bottom, cut up and bruised, we came to a clearing to find a naked man looking at us as if we were the crazy ones. I was absolutely speechless seeing this so my buddy asked which direction the hot springs were. The naked man pointed across the river saying cross here and follow the trail. So we did and found the tubs. On our way back I grew angry at my buddy when I learned there was such a mellow trail to follow back to camp.
Ok so how was the hot spring? Literally gave no insight on the drive in and how that is for people wanting to go and if the hot spring is even warm. Not being rude but didn’t find any information from this
Was there a ton of people there?
There was about 8 other people at the hot spring. The camp ground was full
