Wade this is a perfect tutorial! I was playing along and heard a chord substitution on the chorus. Substituting the G for a Gminor on wash, C7 on eyes, and then landing on a F add9 to an Fm chord. Love your teaching approach.

so, I'm as beginner as beginner gets! buut, this video, as well as a few others I've watched have been so helpful, I've tried learning songs before, but the videos just haven't been good.. but you display it so well, i can understand (wether i can play it or not haha) you make it easy to learn! and i loooooove this song too much! thank you
your welcome , I don't know your level of playing but I would advise you to lean chord and the key sigs first and don't worry about sheet music or even the melody of a song. It is very important to learn the different inversions or some people call them soundings of the chords soon , so you will not be bouncing all over the key board. You will find it much easier. So learn that in every key signature the 1,4,5,are major. and 2,3,6 and minor and 7 is diminished. All this means there are 5 half notes between the 1 key and the 3rd in the major chord and 4 between the 3rd and the fifth. In contrast there are 4 half notes between the 1 and 3 and 5 half notes between the 3rd and fifth. The fifth is what is referred to as perfect by the way.Sometimes a chord will ask you to sus the 3rd note this means play the 4th instead of the 3rd unless it says sus2 this means play the 2nd instead on the 3rd but you normally will always play the 5th. , but there are exceptions to this in dim and aug situations but you will learn as time goes by. piano is a lot of math but if you can walk and chew gum and practice you will play well good luck. sorry for going on and on.
