    I totally love your videos! I have learned so much in such a short period of time. This video really helped me decide where I am going to start. It will be $25/hr. The crazy thing about this is I was an Administrative Assistant and Executive Secretary many years ago. I never lost those skills it feels like I've come full circle. Now, to add skills that I've acquired in other areas, makes me feel like I've somehow come home. Thank you so much!

      @@dopeyz9815 Hi! So to be very transparent, I started doing it for a minute and it was going okay. I was able to get a couple gigs but I didn’t stay consistent. That has all to do with me and none to do with Abbey’s advice and guidance. I feel like if I would’ve stuck with it, I would have done great but I decided to pursue different business ventures and I also went back to school.

    I think it's important to note that WORKABLE hours are definitely not the same as BILLABLE hours. Even if you work 8-hours a day, no one actually bills 8-hours in a day. I've been a Freelance Assistant for close to 10 years - on an INCREDIBLE day I can bill 7 hrs of my 8 hr work day. But on the average day, I bill about 5-6 hrs in an 8-hr work day. You need to set your rate based on this discrepancy!

    • @remibertieaux6497
      @remibertieaux6497 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why is that? If you work 8hours for a client, why not billing these 8hours?

    Hi Abbey! Thank you so much for the valuable content! I just downloaded the launch checklist & absolutely love the layout, how well put together & organize it is! Just how I would do it! I really want to aim for $35+ but since I have no testimonials, real references or extensive experience I think I should start out $20-$25. I haven't a clue. I want to offer on boarding and off boarding services. The time it takes to complete the services is based on metrics/deadlines and how fast the new employee or outgoing employee can complete the necessary paperwork and questionnaire. I'm thinking project or retainer. Can you offer any feedback?
