Very nice to see this city park and all it's monuments. So many plaques and things to read and learn about here. Great views too when you went down the water's edge and showed us the bridge.

Oh my, so this brought back some memories for me, I was part of a job there at Penn Treaty about 7ish years ago. The monument at the 7 minute mark was refurbished by a group of local artisans. I actually had the responsibility of loading the monument onto my dumptruck and taking it to get restored. I was on that job every day for several months, doing all the grading and sub grading for the playground there and all kinds of other stuff. Its crazy seeing how they refurbished that huge Philadelphia Electric Company building. We used to watch scrappers go in there every single day like clock work. We joked that they had better tools than us, it was like a regular job for them, haha. Im glad the park is holding up pretty good, its one of the jobs I am proud to have worked on and been associated with. Fascinating history too and great points about some of the larger older trees being located in the more urban areas. Another really great video.

I'm glad that you enjoyed the video and that it brought back memories. I had to laugh when I read your comment about the scrappers. I remember seeing them as well. I have some old pics from the place somewhere. One of these days I'll have to start an Instagram page and share them. Thanks for the comment, my friend!

Thank you for taking the time to film your adventures. Some times a history lesson or a jog in the forest either way this is cool what you are doing.

I used to visit the park often ... I remember when the power plant was an abandoned sight. I now wish that I would have explored it at that time. Oh well, so many other locations to visit. Thanks for watching, Kevin!

How about walkabouts in Fairmount Park/ Livsey Rock, a climbers’ location. Also would love to see. Valley Green ramble. There is a group that walk at night .That would be cool. Finally. I love the Bird Sanctuary in Jenkintown/Rydal off Mill Road Circle. I spent my childhood exploring there.

Hi Elizabeth, all very solid suggestions.
Fairmount Park has so many areas to explore and Livsey rock sounds as if it would make for a good video. Valley Green & Jenkintown /Rydal, I 'm not too familiar with but will certainly look up and consider a visit.
Thank you for the suggestions, my friend. I'm always looking for interesting locations

Dutch Elm disease spoiled the replacement elm tree so rose bushes are on the original tree's spot. 🌹
