Whenever I listen to this, I see sleazy late 1920's bars, high-roofed black limousines, gangsters in pinstripe threads and two-tone shoes, the ubiquitous violin case leaning against an open suit-case full of wads of paper money... ...plus the dead smuggler's shoes peaking around the corner of the washing room's half-closed door. With the smoke of the tommy gun just hanging in the air, cigar smoke softening the picture into almost obscurity... Darn, that music is so evocative. Haaaah, just love it. Had to buy your 2nd CD just for this, and discovered so many more treasures on it. Keep it up.

it happends often that some guy developes an incredible thecnical skill, such as it happends often that someone has an incredible music taste. But it's really rare to see both of this quality merging toghether. that is when you meet a genius.
Way back when...I remember pianists like Victor Borge, Liberace, Jerry Lee Lewis. Yeah, they were all great, but this kid is totally the master of the ivories! Come a long way from that boy with the tongue sticking out, to this masterful piece. God love you, brother...I know I do!! If I could only play 1/4 like you, I'd be a happy man!!
Yes, I like it. The maturity of the talent in both performance & composition is amazing. I've been watching since well before you could legally drive. The polish is extraordinary for anyone of any age. (Love the tone of that Steinway, too. Never been a fan of S&S but this one might make me a convert.)
