Hey guys! Thanks for watching. If you want to try out this game mode I made a Twitter thread explaining exactly how you can play this mode with friends yourself! twitter.com/RubberNinja/status/1627023409623486466 Also this was a big test run for a lot of this! We won't be making people mute while drawing because slipping up is funny. So next time.. We're going to have a separate moderator so I don't need to be keeping an ear out for stuff (it's a lot to handle while I'm streaming/hosting/playing).
My favorite part about this play style is that it low-key just moderates the discussion by way of stopping any sort of shouting matches that can happen, making sure everyone is 'heard.'
also significantly easier to get important locational info across and is harder to lie because of there being a diagram of where people went and what doesn't add up.
someone else already suggested this, but a combination of artists and really good among us players who aren't artists would be really funny. absolutely genius deductions but incomprehensible scribbles
I will eventually bring in streamers/youtubers who aren't artists. I feel like amongi are inherently simple enough to illustrate that anyone could play.
Finally... artists drawing amoguses.... something that's never been done before! Also suggest more hardcore crew settings or more imposters for additional chaos
Concept seems cool, but also seems tricky to follow the rules. It's also seems more complicated with more ppl. With fewer ppl, enough ironing out, and a few playthrough from the players to get acquainted a series like this would be awesome IMO.
And maybe not let your GF talk out out the whole thing without getting voted out. Maybe let people know there is a mute button if they can't follow the rules.
@@jolenemathews there was both. But the Layton music was some perfection as it felt like deciphering the puzzles as done in the games based on how the game mode plays. Ave attorney gave the feel needed for the conviction and guilt. Layton gave the detective and clue solving process. Working hand in hand really well
This is actually a very fun and interesting twist on Among Us. Other people have mentioned that it allows everyone to be heard. It is also more newbie friendly since they might not know the name of locations and tasks by heart. It certainly helps with artist to draw better description by story telling. Ross is on a hold 'nother level with these new drawing games.
I have an idea when the lights turn off when you all draw. Have a black layer on top and lower the opacity and erase a circle of it so you can still see when drawing. Hide the layer when you’re done using it.
maybe to streamline this kind of idea you could have everyone draw a little representation of themselves and store them somewhere in the empty space on the canvas that way they can move it around like a game piece when doing their timeline of events.
Dang, I already knew Ace Attorney music was perfect for Among Us, but Layton caught me off guard! It definitely shouldn't have though, because it's so perfect!
Excellent concept, went a lot better than I thought it would. I was worried how it would work for a second but after hearing there would be infinite vote time and an entire map to draw on, it settled in nicely. One thing I can suggest is maybe implementing key phrases that, when said, instantly break the "no explaining verbally" rule. Stuff like at the very end when you said you were there, or when the person earlier said they were on cams, just so there's a better grasp of what can and can't be said.
Nice, Gigerpale is present. It's kind of interesting how TH-camrs band together. It kind of reminds me of the 6 steps of Kevin Bacon concept, where you can trace your connections to a particular individual. You have a connection to several Animation and Gaming TH-camrs. And it's growing with each new guest. I wonder how far the connection goes.
This is a fun idea that works well! My unsolicited opinion is that it would work slightly better if the person who was drawing wasn't allowed to talk at all.
This is a really fascinating idea, I like all the layers of potential intrigue that this can add. I wonder how hard it would be to make an actual plugin? Like a buzz-in system for people to request a turn drawing, maybe even a ping tool on the drawing server like an expanding circle so people know where they "should" be looking? Would love to see more of this regardless!
holy moly, the intro alone makes me sweat, how much work did you put into those 55 seconds is amazing... not only drawings but animation, im always amazed at such skills.
That'd be cool, but it would make distinguishing who they're drawing a bit tough if two people had the similar costumes, although maybe that would add to the funnies.
I like this idea, but I would like to see more of the rounds in between the drawings or else it does just feel like pictionary and I have next to no clue who each of the characters belong to that are being drawn.
I'm so in love with this concept! I would love to see you guys refine it over time. I wonder what it would be like if everyone was muted while someone is drawing so that it relies purely on how well someone can get their point across without answering questions or prompting statements from everyone else in the call?
Ghosts should be able to leave one ghostish hint on the board after they die. It would need to be contextual, and not identify anyone except themselves as the victim. The Shadowmongus seeks prey.
You have no idea how happy it makes me to see you guys playing Among Us again! I never played the game myself, but I really enjoy your crew playing this game, and now mixing with your art content makes it even better! Awesome!
This was so fun to watch on Twitch and on TH-cam. I hope you do this again. Always funny when people accidentally break the rules and have to be kicked out.
Bro, this is so cool! Great video! And now we talked about videos, i got an idea for one of them. The idea is you play gartic phone animation (no time limit) where the objective is to make a portal-type simple (but hard) puzzle to the other animators cooperate and try to solve it, it's simple, right?
This is really cool idea, I'm not sure if it's better to have more or less time to draw per round (mainly so it doesn't drag on too long each discussion) either way probably better that the moderator keeps time for whatever amount you guys think is best.
Ross could win so easily with this since he's interpreting what the drawer draws so he could manipulate it into making him seem innocent and if the drawer speaks out and corrects him they get voted out.
this is probably a very time consuming way to play among us with you and your friends but also very entertaining and i would like to see more of the artsy style to the game
Like one rule: Don't talk while drawing. Literally everyone broke the rule to some degree. Only when it got extremely blatent did they finally kick someone off. Like, giant flashing sign that screams for attention sort of blatent.
I think this would be fun to see more of, however I think players should use only the color of their character to draw with. It would be easier to tell who has drawn what. It also means they have to get smart with how they draw.

So excited for more videos of this! Keep up the awesome creative work!
Great stuff Ross! Probably want to pin this.
An alternate thing for balance would be if you draw at all, you cannot speak for the rest of that discussion
Do another this was a cool way of susing people out in Among Us, or Among Us Vr, that would be cool

i'd love to do this too yeah

Not only that but he found a way to make fresh amogus content in 2023.

This is an incredible idea. Most of the games I've seen eventually devolve into shouting matches but, this makes it so much more interesting.

We had a lot of people joining who were new to Among Us so we kept the settings easy. Next time eject confirm will be off.

Agreed! Next time we will have a designated moderator in call to keep things more steady. Also we'll be playing Polus with 10 people, not 15.
And maybe not let your GF talk out out the whole thing without getting voted out. Maybe let people know there is a mute button if they can't follow the rules.
Absolutely loved the addition of the Phoenix Wright's Cornered and Layton's puzzle theme songs
YESS I WAS ABOUT TO COMMENT THAT,,, ITS WONDERFUL
I know them both! So cool for the editors to include the themes!
This is actually better than regular talking lol. You actually get a full picture of where everyone was
Amazing concept, PLEASE MAKE A SERIES OUT OF THIS!!!
This is going to be the best series ever.
yea
This would be incredible
RubberRoss mentioned on another comment that he's planning on inviting other streamers to join this so there is a chance 😁👍
as soon as he propposed the ideas on stream I knew this was going to be a great idea... sooooo many shenanigans
This little spin feels like a breath of fresh air after seeing so many shouting matches where the rules are basically "I'm the loudest, I'm correct"
I love this series. The Layton music was just the perfect touch
But that was Ace Attorney music
@@jolenemathews Might have been both. I heard Animal Crossing music in there, too.
I don't even play Professor Layton but I had a feeling that's what it was from
It's very nice that people like the video enough to just decide this one video is a series. Ok, I'll do it.
@@jolenemathews there was both. But the Layton music was some perfection as it felt like deciphering the puzzles as done in the games based on how the game mode plays.

Love the choice of Professor Layton music for this since this mode definitely makes it a puzzle to figure it out
this is actually so much fun. can’t wait for more drawing among us
This should be an actual mode in the game. “Sketchy Shenanigans” is what I would call this new mode!
While good in concept, I don't think it should happen in the actual game. Just imagine the amount of inappropriate images people will doodle..
It would have to be in a private lobby when you can enable this game mode
I have an idea when the lights turn off when you all draw. Have a black layer on top and lower the opacity and erase a circle of it so you can still see when drawing. Hide the layer when you’re done using it.
This was some of the most suspenseful Among Us discussions I’ve ever watcher holy shit. Do more of this this is extremely cool.
