Pisses me off seeing shit with the Majora's mask Collector's Edition or the PS4 20th Anniversary Edition for recent example. Motherfuckers were reselling the pre-order within minutes of them even being made available -_-
I know right?! I wanted to get my hands on the limited edition of Majora, but it's sold out almost everywhere. I'm going to politely ask my local GameStop and hope they got at least one left. Never have I seen a limited edition get sold out so insanely quick..
TheChristopherize I got lucky, the guy at Gamestop told me about the Majora collection. When I went to the store to buy it, it was sold out. But, the second Gamestop put it on their website, he ordered one for me.
Same thing happened with the Xbox One and PS4. I saw some guy actually sell a PS4 preorder near me for €2500. It only costs €400.

6 years later and this is even more relevant today than it was then. It's freaking impossible to get anything even remotely interesting now. Consoles, phones, graphics cards and most tech. It's insane.
Nintendo just announced they will resume production of Marth Amiibos. Joke is on scalpers and the people who paid out the ass for one.

Any person with a functional brain can see past the scalpers and shit. I personally just feel bad for the parents out there who WILL drop $80 for an Amiibo their kid wants, just because they don't know any better and want to make their kid happy.
Side note: scalpers are pieces of shit, and they know it, they just don't care. Educating people on these scams is essential to stopping them, but that'll never happen. *shrug*
Yeah, like my dad tried being a scalper ONCE. He bought like 5 copies of the original Guitar Hero, as it was the "hot toy" for that year. I got one for Xmas, and he barely sold the rest for face value. Needless to say he never tried it again.
If people teach scalpels that lesson by not buying stuff at an extreme price and just email the company asking for more to be made, you will see the scalping trend die quick.

I guess I think this way since I'm not a kid but whenever I can't get an amiibo I just move on and hope to find it later. I don't pay extra for it online nor do a fret b/c someone with more time and money than I got something they worked harder to get.
Chrome Persona No, you will see it die when people aren't willing to pay a higher price and when there is enough stock. But people care more about their time and have more money and don't care to spend it. Resellers and scalpers have the time and money to get the items too.
These factors won't ever go away though. Only thing you could do is simply not pay the high price or go out and take the time to get the item. If a seller can get it, with enough work, anyone can.

In regular gameplay, the highest difficulty was level 9; ala Very Hard. So you see, the CPU will learn and become a more formidable opponent to you or others. In other words, it copies your fighting style and is represented like a level. Also, it is stored in the amiibo.

It should be ILLEGAL to scalp I know some locations have limits like 1 type per customer...it's crazy how 90% of the market just resells them online just to make more money...it seems effective but its so unfair for us collectors who just wanna have em...Fine examples are stuff like the Kaos Trap for Skylanders Trap Team and the Dark and Light element expansion packs, I can't find em anywhere in stores!...Even if I see more than 1 "Rare" Figure on the shelf, I leave it there...
Amiibo Wave 3 hits shelves tomorrow, hopefully I can pick up Rosalina and Bowser before the scalpers get em...I also wish you all best of luck too!...Hopefully with the Super Bowl going on, people in my area would be too busy with that instead of hogging up the figures!

Here's a solution. Stop buying them from scalpers. Eventually if no one pays scalpers for them they will go down in price or return to store shelves and you will get your money's worth. It's not Nintendo's fault you are too impatient to just wait or too don't monitor the websites they are sold at at least once a day to get your pre-order in before the scalpers.
