  • Today we bring you a story that I believe will awaken your curiosity and ignite your passion for art and adventure.
By a twist of fate, we arrived in Curitiba, the capital of the State of Paraná, which stands proudly in third place in economic valuation in all of Brazil, a testament to its thriving industry.
At the heart of this metropolis is its Botanical Garden, a masterpiece that proclaims “ARTECONTODO”. Its greenhouse, a structure reminiscent of the Art Nouveau style, is a glass sanctuary that captures the essence of natural beauty.
Despite the incessant rains, which for some would be an excuse to stay in bed, for us backpackers, they are simply the backdrop for our adventure. And what an adventure it was, because we were fortunate enough to be near the residence of Marcia de Bernardo, one of the most notable stone sculptors in Latin America. Marcia, who happened to be at her House-Workshop in Curitiba, opened the doors of her artistic world to us.
Look, Sol, the weather here is definitely capricious. Marcia transforms stones, regardless of their hardness, volume or shape, into works that challenge the imagination.
Nature is her muse. Marcia teaches us that by recognizing the patterns of nature, we become more aware of our surroundings and our connection to the world.
Before saying goodbye to Curitiba, it was essential to visit the Wire Opera, a theater that stands majestically among the lush vegetation of Parque das Pedreiras. Built with steel tubes and polycarbonate plates, it is a hymn to the harmony between architecture and nature, a cultural jewel of the city.
Our journey will now take us to Ilha do Mel, an earthly paradise where the absence of motorized vehicles preserves its natural beauty.
But the adventure is not without setbacks. Arriving at the boarding terminal for Ilha Do Mel in Pontal do Sul at 4:15 pm, we found that the ticket offices were closed until the next day.
Against all odds, and despite the language barrier, we managed to explain to the captain that we had just arrived, who, with a deafening whistle, granted us a miracle: the last boat that had left for Ilha Do Mel a while ago returned for us. .
From that moment on, the trip became a celebration of life and new friendships. Luck smiled on us even more when, sharing that we had no accommodation, a passenger turned out to be the owner of the best hotel on the island. What we thought would be a modest room for the price turned out to be the master suite, marking the beginning of a series of chance encounters.
At night we wanted to witness the natural spectacle of luminescent plankton. Although we did not achieve our desire to see bioluminescence since this phenomenon is only observed in the months of August and September.
At dawn, we explored the south of the island, Encantadas, with its rocky hills and crystalline beaches, but it was the hidden grotto, with its astonishing shapes and colors, that captured our imagination. The walls were encrusted with semi-precious minerals, a geological treasure that took our breath away.
For geology enthusiasts, I recommend the book “Minerals, How to Identify Them” available on AMAZON.COM, an essential guide that will not only enrich your knowledge but will also support our channel.
The island still kept secrets: the locals reported sightings of giant aliens on January 6, 2024 at the top of the Grotto, detail the video taken by some tourists who were heading to the grotto, they said they saw huge and That's why they started filming that they were about 3 or more meters high, there were 2 of them, one of them stayed at the top of the cave as if checking the earth and the other, if you can see, going down as if towards the entrance.
Before leaving, we satisfied our craving for fresh fish, thanks to a local veteran. With our hearts full and our palates satisfied, we head to the terminal to continue our journey to Joinville, a city of charm and German heritage.

Si te refieres a Ilha Do Mel, me la gocé mucho y sobre todo por la gruta oculta, no estaba tan equivocado revisando sus minerales, eran tan espectaculares que hasta la visitan los extraterrestres.
