very happy to meet your sponyos. they are so handsome. excited to listen in!!!!!!!!!!!!!
😅😅😅😅
As a Millennial, I think I need to copy the Gen Z life styles. Coz this is so inspiring. Good job to the Fingo stakeholders 👏👏👏
Feature is technology ,am happy this young generation is doing wonders
This has to be your coolest episode yet..... already excited for part 2
I aspire to be a parent that inspires like Kiiru's.
Kudos guys! Both hosts and guests. I love the collaboration that these two generations are now looking to break norms to create and solve real life problems tied to traditional ways.
Fingo sounds like a great idea not just for urban but also those in remote village areas who find it hard to commute to banks.
I can totally relate with the 'steve story' in my third year in campus i learnt about stocks and i wanted to invest ,i googled stock brokers and i chose a certain bank to open a cdc account ,well to cut the long story short after filling forms and being told they will get back to me in a month ,4 years later i have never heard from them.
Very very interesting and insightful discussion. Thanks guys for bringing them to the Pod. Having 120k customers in 8 months is Crazzyyy🤯😅. My question is what Marketing strategy helped them acquire so many customers in such a short period?
What a fantastic conversation!!! I currently solely bank with a Fingo equivalent in the UK (Revolut) and I love that Kenyans are embracing the convenience that comes with neo-banks. Can't wait to witness their growth. Also Sharon, you are such an amazing host!
Aww thanks so much❤
Gitari's Inshallaaah😍Oooh! I have a type!😅
The challenge GenZ is giving us millennials...great Convo!
Thank you.
Last time I sat through a one hour video zero interruptions.. I was 17. This was a good one!
Thanks for watching 💃🏾💃🏾
Yeeeei number 1 here 🎉💃🏼💃🏼
This was a very insightful discussion. Please bring the fingo group for part 2, I'd like to hear more about investing.
I'm so inspired! Digital banks are considered 'normal' in developed countries (my UK experience), and to see this in Kenya, wow!
I also had a chance to listen to Kiiru during the Warwick Africa Summit last month! Amazing! I am so so inspired to boldly chase my dreams! I will keep throwing at the wall until something sticks! ☺
Thank you. Keep pursuing your dreams, and one day, the glass will shatter, leading to a breakthrough.
💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾
This is so insightful we definately need a part 2
What a conversation. Highly highly enjoyed it🤌❣️❣️
YES to part 2!!!!🎉I have enjoyed every minute of this conversation!
LOVE LOVE TO SEE IT....
Definitely here for a part 2, ya'll can talk about anything and I'll be captivated, I'm proud of the growth of this podcast on TH-cam and how you ladies are doing something different with each episode is so dope love from the 256.
Credible, resilient and visionary. Amazing!
These guys are so smart!!! 😮 I’m mind blown fr, also a gen z and really looking to get out of the matrix and just be sth great as well. All the motivation I need
I am so inspired by these young guys. Great conversation too!
How did 1 hour just pass by like that? That was engaging.
Amazing stuff!!!!!
Great Convo guys!! It truly was relatable,l promise 😅
Really enjoyed this episode 👏🏾👏🏾
This is mind blowing😇🥳,,,i loooove the convo
Fantastic episode! Beautiful outfits😍
Nice to see young people just pinning themselves into the system and taking a stand....mÿ question though would be around regulation. Are they under CBK or CMA seeing as they partnered with a bank? Also does that mean that their accounts are held by the partner bank or how does that work? If all these people are depositing money with them are they again investing the same...I.e giving loan facilities, buying government bills and bonds? What is their actual business? I want to believe info on rates is published somewhere and they are hopefully competitive against traditional banking.
Overall, I love that they went ahead and ventured into that space. At my big age I'm still trying to figure out this life thing...
All the best in their journey and indeed they shall grow into a big name
I just looked them up. Seems that they are regulated by CBK . I just brushed through their page I am sure more of the important questions you pose are answered there.
This was an incredible episode.
I've been inspired by these friends, building an Afro-centric bank.
Has great potential only challenge I felt their communication of their journeys and how the bank came to be could be better. Sharon is an excellent PR person. I feel like she can be a great resource to them in matters advertising.
Otherwise, great content as always
I'm a Forex Trader In kenya... and most times we are very discriminated from most of the major banks in the country. I've had accounts frozen just because they couldn't "verify" the source of the money coming into my account. Going though the process of "proving" your source of funds is quite hectic esp if you work with a broker that's not regulated in the country. So I'd hope that Whatever they have built which is absolutely Wonderful can serve in people in such industries as Forex and Crypto.
Thank God i landed on this , very brilliat young men. Thanks Jules and Sharon . Is Fingo opening in Uganda soon.
Best episode so far. I live in the US and only bank with Ally Bank( Digital bank) best decision ever. I have been a satisfied customer…looking forward to joining fingo. Look into the diaspora market, the Kenyan banks are so frustrating.
Love this sooo much
Wow, very impressive what y'all are doing.
Very educative episode. Big up guys 👍🏾
I am Namibia 🇳🇦. This sounds so dope . ❤
Amazing!!
Waoh! As a Diasporan ill def look into it!!
Truly mind blown by how audacious 4 young men can be 👏🏽 ladies, you are constantly bringing us episodes of value and that's very commendable. 🎉 definitely have the quadruple back for another episode.
My question would be how are they tapping into markets that are in the digital dark age?
We work with what the reality is on the ground.
Gotcha! Let's support Fingo 💙
Great episode!
Love this❤❤
They are so handsome oh my
Haiombangwi ivo
This was super insightful and we definitely would benefit from a Part 2👌🏾
In part 2 please do delve deeper into friendship and business, also more into the specifics of navigating following your dreams even though it might not align with what your parents want for you (it came up briefly in this episode and I believe would be beneficial especially for people in their 20s going through the same)
Thanks for watching!
And sure, we'll definitely get into that.. :)
This set is so pleasing to look at!😍
Thank you!!!
Part 2 already,,,, I really enjoyed it
I've always HATED banking queues!!! I'm so sold on this idea... Just like Jules, my concern would be security but I can also see how your investment in security would be more than traditional banks. I also hate how my banking app is usually down so many times🥹
Anyway I'm sooooo excited for the future of the banking sector!
With job loss on account of tech, I'm sure you'll receive/have received so much push back but keep at it🎉🎉🎉
My question would be how many employees, if any, do you have?
This was such a dope conversation. I literally smiled throughout the entire video. As a Kenyan living abroad one of my biggest challenge has always been opening an online checking account in Kenya. So I’m definitely sold. I have an online savings account and I love the ease and convenience it comes with. I’ve always hoped for something similar in Kenya especially for those of us who can’t physically be available to open a bank account.
Check out stanbic diaspora account
Am inspired!
Why was i born in 87 look what handsome smart men I'm missing 😭😂😁
Definitely bring them for a part 2 i might decide to move sm of my little money 🤑 to them
Haiombwi ivo
Listened to the audio version on Spotify...had to come and see the Gen Zeers .Such a great conversation.
Thank you ❤
This is such an insightful conversation! Looking forward to part 2. Kudos to these forward thinking gents 👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you
Part 2 pleaseeeee!!!
Exposure is good honestly...it opens the mind and brain....
Really enjoyed this episode. 👌These guys are really inspiring and I can't wait for part 2. Please give us a part 2.
Thanks for watching.. what would you like to hear from them in part 2?
Great to see ! I pray everything works out. Just one question. Who tailors your cloths? They are very well made. I hv only gotten similar quality in West Africa
As a young entrepreneur ..do they have any loan structures to entice some of us who want to grow their businesses and who want to avoid the bureaucracy of the traditional banks?
Currently, Fingo Africa isn't offering loans, but it's in our roadmap. By the fourth quarter of the year, existing Fingo users who actively transact and save through the app will have access. This will enable us to better understand you and assess the amount we can offer.
Enjoyed every bit of this convo. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yerbamate is South American so I’m not surprised it wouldn’t be in Kenya:perfect business opportunity for sure.
On another note the dollar drop seems artificial to me. In other words it isn’t attributable to natural market evolution. That being said I bet by Dec the dollar will go up again
“…….i’ll just build a bank😎” How cool!! Feels like this is the generation that will say “….this government doesn’t work for us, let’s just….” & the rest will be history in a peaceful cool way.
Shaz: It's giving Kayamba Africa😂😂😂😂.
Very intellectual conversations, great panel, mambo mazuri👌🏾🔥.
Bring them back ❤
Kiiru sounds like George Ndirangu
I agree
Amazing. It was too short
I'd like to hear about how to navigate business with friendship involved.
Steve was in fact NOT a pseudo name bc what was that eye roll from Mr.CEO 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂..absolutely loved this episode
😂😂😂 pls
💯🔥
❤️❤️❤️
Immediately downloaded Fingo
Yeeeess 💃🏾💃🏾 hope you used our code
You can find Yerba Mate at Amka Cafe 😀👌🏾
It’s giving mantalk ke
Their story on delayed bank opening did not add up,and they were too excited with their startup story, rather than problems its solving for individuals and businesses
They are brilliant! Then what if….they end up being Steve’s next employer…. Oh steve!🙈
Plot twist! 😂
This discussion just takes me back to my 1st experience opening a bank account. I was a refugee in Nairobi, when i was joining campus i remember i desperately needed a bank account, sema kuzungushwa. So, can i open an account with Fingo using Canadian papers?
Thank you for sharing your experience! While we aim to provide inclusive banking services, unfortunately, at this time, it's not possible to open an account with Fingo using Canadian papers.
nice

Since you targeting a wider market, have you incorporated cloud services for scalability and how do your business meet the Data Protection Act 2019 regulations.
Fingo is designed for scalability and security, using cloud hosting in partnership with Ecobank. Fingo are fully certified by the Data Protection Office and comply with the Data Protection Act 2019, along with holding PCI, SOC, and other relevant certifications.
Do you guys have any open positions? Am a software engineeer.
It was Barclay's bank right? Opening an account with them, for me was difficult. In some branch in Karen
Super informative! I am inspired. I would like to know lf they have virtual cards?
I just looked them up. They do. On the fingo page there is a lot more info
Yes, we do 😀.
@@FingoAfrica Thanks so much, I am def getting myself an account!
That was a great episode! Can we get more insights on the fingo products. I specifically would want to know more about their savings goal product. What benefits do i get saving with them? Any interest rates?
Looking for a mentor 😢These are kind of people i love to be around 24/7
And i know i have to become one to be around them😢 i have no idea where to start but Thank you Sharon and Jules for our guest.
Thanks for watching and feel free to reach out to them on their socials 😊😊
I want to know if your savings earns interest at the bank and if yes at what percent?
Thanks for your interest. We're currently working on adding interest-earning savings options to our platform. Keep an eye out for more details coming soon.
One needs 1 BILLION ksh in deposits according to CBK. Just wondering where the wonderful gen Z ( respect to their ingenuity) got the funds for this? 1 BILLION...
incase you don't know the guy sitting on the left is Hon Waiguru's son so they come from wealthy families
What is the difference between Fingo and Paypal, Bright, etc.
Fingo is a digital banking platform designed for Africa, offering comprehensive banking services like account management, savings, and virtual cards etc.
Quick question guys, who is the female voice that said "I did" at @4:50

Hmm cant figure it out
Eeeiii😂😂😂

Why Fingo? As the name for the bank.. I would love to know that..
Fingo represents 'finance on the go,' reflecting our commitment to providing accessible and convenient financial solutions. With Fingo, managing your finances is effortless and convenient, empowering you to stay in control of your money anytime, anywhere.
I opened an account and it took 3 business days to be fully open and verified.
It's not really under 5 minutes.
Apologies for the delay. We experienced a system downtime last week, but everything's back up and running smoothly now.
@@FingoAfrica Could you confirm how long it will now take for an new account to be opened and verified?
@@delightrie The process for opening and verifying a new account typically takes less than 4 minutes with no downtime.
