I had the phantoms and I'm watching a review because my phantoms just tore while I was out unfortunately but I've had them since 2010. They lasted me 11 years! I've also been all around the world with them and they took a beating. I'm upgrading to these, the fanning, to try them out. Thanks for the review!

No.. just normal wearing. Kind of disappointing at this price level. After a while of being annoyed with it i ended up removing the rest with my finger to reveal the layer underneath. Similar thing happened with my logitech headphones..the rubber on the top broke down and started shedding bits so i rubbed it all off to reveal the sponge layer underneath too.
Those aren’t the most expensive or best quality reef models . The leather Jay bay are max 80 bucks . You must be paying that greedy country tax . And they do have a 1 year warranty that you didn’t use when they started getting shity. They aren’t the leather ones bro
Hello sir that was a nice review. I have a pair of these and I love them. she paid $85 for them because they are leather. The leather pair are $85 and the regular pairs are $50 that's what I pay. The soles of your flip flops we're in good shape and the footbed too. In 2 months my pair had a very wide nice footprint. I was a little disappointing at the footbed wore out that fast. I understand you're disappointed at the strap breaking out of the Soul. I am surprised that happened to you and not me because I have big very very wide feet sz15 6 EEEEEE with very fat wide toe and my straps have not pulled out of the footbed. Question? Do you have wide feet cuz that's weird about the strap. I'm Shocked about your footbed how it still looks new 18 months later and I got only 2 months out of mine. With my foot being so wide it the only Footwear that I can wear. There's no shoe or sock that's wide enough that will fit my foot. I can find my sides but I cannot find my width. I love these flip-flops there the only ones that will fit a foot that is 6 1/2 inches wide with All toe equally straight cross. Both of my pinky on each foot hang off the footbed but never touches the ground which is a good thing. that's why I'm surprised about my straps not breaking. I wish the footbed was lil more wide for my pinky toes to be on the footbed. Do you still have these pair of flip-flops? Thank you for sharing your video
G'day Mack..no i don't have them anymore...the strap detached completely and after afew attempts of trying to place it and keep it together i gave up. These reefs where ok but i did expect at this price for them to hold up better.

I'm on my third pair now and each pair I get at least 4 years out of them and that's wearing them every single day 365 days. These are my shoes because tennis shoes are not wide enough for my very very wide foot with fat wide toe.
Yeh...365 days? where are you from? I'm here in QLD OZ..can wear these for 9 months of the year easily without getting cold...if i was to get them again i would not get the suede upper type..i would stick to the normal strap type that have no coating.
@@Robroscob I am a truck driver 🚛 I drive all over the United States. I'm in Kentucky right now where it is 40 degrees outside right now and I'm wearing my flip-flops. Even in 20 degree temperature with snow on the ground I still have to wearing my flip-flops. It really sucks for me in the winter time because I cannot find a close to shoe that will fit my wide feet. I think if my toes wasn't so fat I might be able to find something. My boss has a size 16 3 EEE wide and can find tennis shoes and boots to wear and am sz15 6 EEEEEE and I can't find nothing. Want to talk about something that sucks. I was Just in a truck stop and another truck driver say to me don't you think it's time to wear shoes? ( I was a little embarrassed ) I said if I can find a shoe for these fat wide feet I would definitely have them on. Driver asked me is that your normal foot width? I said yes. The driver said wow I'm a size 13 3 EEE wide and your foot is way wider than mine. The man then Ask me what size is my foot. I said it's a size 15 6 EEEEEE with very fat wide toe. The man said yeah if my toes wasn't so fat I might be able to find some shoes. The man said well I know I seen Bigfoot now.
@@mackjenkins7721 really nice to hear from a long haul 'truckie' ...dont worry just wear wats comfortable...here in oz u can still find 80"s style flip flops.. they are super wide and the sole has the stripes as the sole gets thicker
I hate reef flip flops. The new ones are garbage. I used to get a few years out of a pair now I'm lucky to get one year. The quality sucks. I'm over reefs.
I got a pair of these after seeing a reviews online, They are literally the most comfortable flip flops ever, So good I ordered another pair….
