Is This The Best Type R | Episode 11 | FD2 Civic CTR in Japan | Driving Impression & Review

This time around I was finally able to rent the FD2 Civic Type R. I had been wanted to rent this car for a little while. This is one of those iconic Honda's more specifically an iconic Type R. I really enjoyed the week I had with the car. I was able to put a ton of miles both on the highway and city along with a little spirited touge driving. Overall I really enjoyed the car as a whole. I did find a couple things that I would want to improve if I was going to own a FD2, mainly on the power side of things. Speaking of owning should the FD2 be one of the RHD cars I keep my eye on to import when the time comes.

I am a FD2R owner in Hong Kong. The original suspension was quite stiff for daily drive so I have changed an aftermarket suspension. Apart from that this is a real fun car to drive.

That's interesting.. yeah I had the same issue with the suspension. I would probably swap to an adjustable coilovers too. It is a fun car though

Yes instant response is the best if you wanna daily it especially on this K series....Jackson racing or MercRacing supercharger...I have an FG2 06 Si coupe..and i love to supercharge it and no heat soak...i don't need 500 hp...350hp to 400hp for daily is perfect....

I fully agree. Go kart handling and response is what I'm always looking for in a street tuned car. And would work with the FD2 perfectly
