I blind bought Florabotanica and I fell in love with it. It's such a beautiful and different rose fragrance!
Florabotanica has not been discontinued. I emailed Balenciaga/Coty and they have confirmed that this is still in production with no plans as of now to discontinue.
That would be great if it hasn’t!!! I wonder where the idea came from?? As I’ve said I can’t confirm it this is just what I heard through the grapevine:)

I agree with you about needing to really have enough to truly sample a fragrance. In many cases even a vial is not enough to really determine whether a fragrance is right for me.

I've wanted Florabotanica for the longest time & now that it's being discontinued I've snatched it up. Thanks for the heads up btw. So glad you're loving it!
Florabotanica is a gem, I'm glad you came around to it. It makes me happy. It's intoxicating. Hopefully that's not just the cannabis doing its thing lol
I've never thought of Miss Dior as a rose perfume but whatever it is, it's GORGEOUS. I love it and just recently got into Absolutely Blooming, too.
I blind bought Florabotanica when you said it's probably discontinued and I looooove it! The best rose ever! What's interesting is that carnation turns into light creamy fresh laundry scent on my skin and that mixed with rose and mint and vetiver... It's heavenly! I'm so glad I saw your post the other day!

I LOVE this review .... especially about Florabotanica! I’ve been exactly like you when it comes to this fragrance and I think you’ve convinced me to go grab it! I work in design / marketing and so a true win-win is a beautiful fragrance with a beautifully designed bottle ... and I quite like this bottle.
On a side note - after I contacted you over Oscar DeLa Renta’s Bella collection I went and purchased Blanca, Rosa and ordered Essence today. The real shocker is Rosa, as I’ve never been overly attracted to rose scents but Bella Rosa is such a beautiful creamy delicate rose that I’m completely in love with it! So a BIG Thank you for answering all my questions... now off to Shoppers to snag Florabotanica! 💞
I personally find Florabotanica enchanting. Like you, I wasn't sure about it when I first smelled it years ago. Somehow it has put a spell on me. It takes me back to about 5 years ago, when I would frequent Sephora to sample perfumes. I sure loved the perfumes on display around that time!
I love Florabotanica. Usually I tend to use very sweet fragrances but this one has changed my mind about using a fresher scent. I got the 100ml bottle right away ☺️
My favorite Rose fragrance at the moment is Bottega Veneta's Eau de velours .. I love it! Flora botanica is on my to get list

I relate to this so much! I felt that way when I first smelled Delina, it was pretty but I didn't get the hype at all because of how sharp the opening was, and that was all I was smelling😐. Recently I've been sampling Delina and OMG! The mid and dry down are so beautiful to me, it's definitely on my 2021 purchase list! I definitely have to get my hands on at least a sample of Florabotanica as well 😍
Hi sweetie, I love Florabotanica! 💛💛💛✨✨✨It's perfect for the spring and summer months! 😊 The mint in the opening is so refreshing and unique! 💛 I don't really love the bottle design. I have Miss Dior La Parfum, which I think is even more gorgeous than the Eau de Parfum 😊I loooove Delina Exclusif the most out of all three Delinas!
I've bought a lot of perfume and this is the only one I like at first sniff.. I'm obsessed glad I have it in my collection.

I used to H A T E this perfume few years ago, like I wasnt getting why people could wear it. And now I love it… perfect exemple how taste change!!!
My small bottle came today! To me it smells like a very expensive lovely floral soap. Tried it on my skin and same as it was on paper. I mixed it with the Elie Saab Resort and it's lovely with a nice fruit note lol from the Elie Saab. Great recommendation!
Try Versace bright crystal. That is not a rose perfume but it smells like fresh watery roses… very nice clean perfume. I like florbotanica as well
I agree with you on florabotanica..it was not a first sniff love for me..even after getting it, it took long for me to like and appreciate it . I kept it away after the first wear for a long time..had a cucumbery feeling than rose. Now I appreciate it more and like the dry down
Just order florabotanica a few days ago. Excited to smell it. Love Coco.
I feel the sane way I haven’t been paying as much attention to my Miss Dior and I love it so much. I hear the 2012 formulation was much better but I love mine from 2019 it will always be in my collection and the bottles are gorgeous
Oh and I would encourage you to also get Rosabotanica, which has been discontinued for a while now, but you can get the tester with the cap for a good price. Rosabotanica to me smells like Florabotanica with less rose and the addition of sweet fig leaves. It's definitely unique
Beautiful choices some of my “for life” have made your list! Coco Madamoiselle, Delina Exclusif, and Floribotanica. I can’t remember if you’ve tried Doir “Gris Dior” I think you may enjoy it!

same thing happened to me with ysl black opium. last time i tested it in a store about 2 years ago, absolutely hated it. got a sample about a month ago, absolutely LOVED it, bought a full bottle a week later and now it’s one of my faves, especially in this colder snowy weather

I just recently got a sample of Miss Dior edp and it's a YES YES YES for me!!!! Its not an overbearing floral at all to me. I gotta have it!!
Rose recommendation: Rose De Grasse by Aerin. I received a sample of this with a Sephora purchase and WOW. It’s so incredible. Longevity is poor for the high price tag, but if you can snag a sample to test I highly recommend!
My love of rose has never changed. Its been my consistent throughout my life. I think I love it even more now in my 40s. Maybe because its a reminder if my name too.
I love all the ones you had up today. The only one missing is the Delina XS need to save up for that.

I'm not into rose at all but omg I loooove florabotanica. I blind bought a 50ml bottle but have just ordered a 100ml back up. Its divine .
isn't it!? it's more of a green fresh herbal quality that I get more so than the rose, which I think is why I like it.

I could kick myself for not buying Florabotanica when I had the chance. You may want to check out Lisa's Cosmetics pop up store. They are a well known discount warehouse store in the Toronto area that have opened an online store with shipping throughout Canada. Great prices on fragrances and other things as well.

I'm looking for something like Delina without the incense note. I saw the Delina Rose do not have the incense, maybe that will be my go, not easy to have a sample here in Europe.

I had thought the same about florabatanica. I remembered smelling it years ago.Guess what,? If it's not sold out ,I will be checking it out. Also I am the same way about rose fragrances... have not found one that's not too heavy rose. Yet I adore Rose's. Go figure. Loved the video.🤖💋🤖

I am so happy that you like florabotanica. This is my spring/ summer fav... I recently got the back up as well. Coco Mademoiselle is my love as well. I was going to get delina next, but do you think if I have florabotanica if I need delina exclusive as well??
I think those two are very different fragrances so my short answer is yes! 😊
I feel like the testers in stores are exposed to light all the time and probably expired as well. I never had a good luck with store testers

I just blind bought VC&A Bois Dore after watching your blog and I absolutely love it. It kind of reminds me of Carner Barcelona’s Palo Santo. How is the longevity of Miss Dior EDP ? I’ve heard it doesn’t last long.

I LOVE florabotanica! It's so unique and beautiful. I had snagged me a 1oz bottle at my local discount store for $20. Now I need a a backup for my backup 🤣

I think when you encounter an unfamiliar scent, your brain takes a while to learn and process it before deciding if you like it. So it might take 3 exposures to a perfume before you know if you're going to like it. This explains your experience with Flora Botanical, but also explains how your tastes in perfume change the more exposure you've had to different scents.
Yes that sounds like it could totally be my taste. Do you think it also works the same way with your brain deciding to “un-like” fragrances ???
@@thesimplechiclife Yeah, I think it applies to any new or novel scent, your brain doesn't know what to make of it, so it tries to cross reference it with other scents you are familiar with. When you immediately reach a decision about a scent, it's usually because it smells like something you already know. You may have a lot of experience smelling jasmine and really like jasmine, but if you smell a jasmine scent that doesn't measure up to your references, you won't like that particular scent.

I agree that sniffing in store isn’t the best way to test fragrances! I have purchased so many perfumes I’d smelt in the past and disliked, but loved when I got my own bottle 🥰🥰
So I adore the original Delina! but I wouldn’t classify the original or even the exclusif as a “rose” smell. However, the new Delina La Rosee is like the rose amped up and less tartness then the original. What are your thoughts?
I suppose they’re rose fragrances even if the rose isn’t the most dominant note. I have yet to smell the rosee, I’m nervous to blind buy it but I’d love a sample for sure:)
I think you’ll really like the La Rosee, might replace your exclusif 😉 it’s like somehow they made Delina more feminine lol

No I haven’t!! I should though I’ve been really wanting to try more from Elizabeth and James.
Unrelated but what are your thoughts on gentle fluidity gold vs roses vanille/intense cafe?

I think Florabotanica has niche quality and it's made with lots of craft and imagination. Try in very cold weather, it's surprisingly projecting in freezing climat of Canada. Greeting from Ontario.
I agree; it does smell very niche. Certainly different than any other designer scent I’ve smelled so far :)

Recently purchased Florabotanica as well! A blind buy for me because where I live, perfumes are hard to come by. I cannot wait to enjoy this fully as I’m recovering from covid and my sense of smell isn’t quite back yet. I can definitely pick up on the freshness of this perfume I just cannot wait til I can smell MORE!

Do you wear Delina Exclusif to work? I’m thinking I could get away with it being that I don’t go into hospitals now, mainly doctors offices. Please do fragrance for health care workers!!!
I don’t because I’m not supposed to wear perfume to work at all, we could actually be reprimanded for it. Even if we were allowed, I think delina ex is a special fragrance and I’d probably want it associated with something nice! A nice dinner or occasion. So I likely wouldn’t choose it myself 😊

Aura is a very different green from Florabotanica! Aura is sweet, grassy, bubble gummy sort of; where Florabotanica is more natural earthy green fresh. I much prefer the Florabotanica:)

I kept seeing & hearing about Florabotanica, and based on the notes I just knew I wouldn't like it. lol I WAS WRONG! I blind bought it & this is honestly one of the best fragrances I've put my nose on! The notes are blended beautifully, and it has the perfect amount of sweetness! Definitely can be a perfect everyday scent! :)
