What's the case
Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd (IHFL) filed a case with the NCLT after Vivek Infracon, a company under the Essel Group led by Chandra, defaulted on a payment of approximately ₹170 crore in 2022.
Despite attempts at settlement discussions, IHFL did not receive any payment from Vivek Infracon.

You spoke about dividends being made taxable for individual shareholders making it a case of double taxation. My understanding, previously corporates were paying dividends before tax and consequently dividends were not taxable in the hands of the shareholders. Now dividends are paid by corporates pre-tax and taxable for the shareholders. This was done post the corporate tax reduction by FM which had to be done in response to corporate tax reduction by Donald Trump. Since tax rate is lower for corporates (post the corporate tax reduction) so government had to move the taxation to individual shareholders at a higher rate assuming most recipients are in the higher individual slab rate. But feel we cannot call it double taxation.

This is the top ranking press freedom Sir. We don't need any Western entity to rank our press freedom. In fact, we have this freedom of speech right from our vedik culture, else what happened with Seeta Mata could not have happened.

I have an observation about smallcase that the weight/percentage of stocks calculated on current value of investment and not on invested value. That means when we buy more or rebalance happens under performing shares are bought more and more and high performing stocks are left. It keeps doing downward averaging. Basant sir, when smallcaps and midcaps run much faster than largecaps, there is a worry that they will underperform in the near future. For example, from 29th Dec 2017 till 10th Jan 2020, the Nifty grew by 16% but the BSE Midcap fell by 15% and BSE Smallcap fell by 26%.
