Thanks so much. I came looking for a solution for the sanding drum falling off and this solved that. I appreciate that you explained what was happening when you tighten the screw (expansion). Also great safety tips that I was slacking on or never implemented so great reminders for me.
Thanks for the great vid. When in a hurry, I'll forget to use the flat part of the wrench to tighten the drum, not just the bit in the rotary tool. This really helps.
I feel silly that I couldn't keep the sanding drums on (for a few years now). No idea that all I had to do was tighten the screw to expand it. I'm laughing at myself, I'd sand a bit, push it back on, and repeat.
It sounds exactly like the dentist's drill! I had no idea of all the safety measures. I just bought one and was going to just plug in and use. So glad I watched this video!
These work on hard plastic surfaces too. I just need to next smooth out the sides but I found one of the sanding drum tubes on the narrow does not fit firmly and is a little loose. I already lost one when it went flying off. I tried tightening it with a replacement tube but it just wont stay held on. thanks for these videos I last used the tool more than a decade ago and these have been a helpful reminder and I have learnt about the other items my kit came with.
I have two windows that close next to each other but the bottom of the glass touches one another. I need to "shave" a piece of tempered rv window glass so it doesn't touch another piece of glass when closing the window. What should I use for that?
AMAZING! Love the way you have been explaining your actions. I’ll be binge watching all your Dremel episodes, cuz I just bought the 4000, wish I bought the 4200 instead, due to the EZ bit thing.
Hi and thanks for watching. If it was me I would try a new sanding drum first to see if that was the issue. Do you put a lot of pressure on the sanding drum while using it?
This is pretty much a brutal dremel video. You completely skipped over speeds and materials! That is the harvest problem people have and how the stupid belt always slips off the rubber. Gloves? Taking out the battery? It’s obvious you you shouldn’t be using a dremel if you can’t change bits without the fear. Of turning it on while doing so!
I'm new to Dremels, but this thing has been great. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxfPgcZ5_Cl0HDUKkMJAKde11YKQZVgMoR The variable speed is awesome and the cordless aspect makes it so easy to work with. I am constantly finding uses for it that make tasks easier. Recently I put in a new deadbolt on one of our doors. I knew I had to enlarge the hold where the deadbolt goes into the door frame. At first I thought I would have to get a big router and figure out how to use it for that, but then I rermembered we have the dremel. I was able to enlarge the hole almost as easy as if I was drawing with a pen. It's also great for grinding our dog's nails done and so many other household tasks.

Finally. someone who cuts to the chase and shows you how to use something without running all over the map.
How do you determine what number grit you’re dealing with? Is there a marking on sanding drum?
Thanks 😊
Thanks a lot. I was having difficulties with the sanding drum placement but I understand now. I appreciate it
Thank you I’m taking up a new hobby and this is super helpful!!
How can you tell what grit they are? Is there numbers on
them?

Can I use the Dremel to remove paint from an old window.
I've literally just ordered it to remove varnish from door trims and skirting board tight spaces that other sanders sanders can't reach
Thanks for the explanation, helps me a lot
Can this piece be used to sand metal.

Thanks for watching! I appriciate that! Hope you enjoy the videos and good luck with your new Dremel!
What about the small sandpaper rings?
I haven't found them anywhere! Had to get the bigger drum bit & larger sandpaper rings at Home Depot in a small kit.
Looking into getting something like this for my wood projects I’ve been building
Thanks for watching, they are a great tool to have!
Purchased a rotary tool, didn't realize I was missing the drum bit.
The rubber sanding drum keeps ripping and deforming.. how do i fix that?
Even when I screw it down the sanding drums still come out way too easy… any fixes or suggestions?

I was using these Sanding Drums for this ring im making and it scared TF out of me because the sandpaper Kept snapping * I sanded my pinky *
Should we be using gloves?
If you have to ask them please don’t idea dremel.
LOL!...The tone of your voice kept making me doze off.😴
Thank you, for sharing. I did learn a few bits of information between my naps!😬
Haha, that is funny! At least you know what video to watch when you need to get some sleep lol.
Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
thanks a lot!
Thanks for watching!
