I liked the first edition, I have two copies of the hardcover book. I think I'll pledge the kickstarter on this one. Not only is the game tight, with loads of character options (this is important to me), the art and layout of Zweihander is impeccable. Dejan is great and I love having a consistent art style throughout the book.
seems I missed the kickstarter by 3 days...I only just found Zweihander and only just discovered Reforged while googling some rule clarification. Love what i've seen in the start kit so far, clears up some of the more fiddly parts and the layout is SO much easier to parse.
I'm not sure I like the immortality option. I like the idea that anyone with a shank is a lethal opponent. I'm not sure what are meaningful consequences short of death aside from permanent disfigurement that is disgusting to behold or a permanent, crippling injury. But I do like that combat is faster and that any weapons, including knives and daggers, can be lethal.
please change skill table with attribute table in the character sheet, we are reading from left to right why place them in the opposite way? And the damage and peril treshold design does not feel intuitive, in the design there should be implication that DTh is armorlike and peril Th is something like a mental armor.
Skills are probably on the left because you're more likely to be referencing the Skills than Attributes. As for the Peril/ Damage Thresholds; I'm not sure what your confusion or critique is. DTh you add your armor to the base. That is the implication that it's armor. They even explain that PTh is mental resilience.
Good feedback! There is a method to our madness. Whenever a GM calls for a Skill Test, they typically ask, "Make an Easy Melee Test. First, the player looks at their Peril Threshold for any initial penalties. Then, Difficulty Rating (Easy). And finally, their Skill Ranks in Melee. Regardless, we will talk with the design team about alternative survivor sheets.
@@Zweihander_RPG I see your rationale, but it does feel a bit odd with the Core Characteristics not on the left, given they are the default trait to roll, and Skills feel they should be on the right-hand side. Sorry if this is at odds with the design team, but it is what is is. Everything else looks great, and I greatly prefer the ZH character sheets to that of the WFRP 4E character sheets, it lssems much less cluttered and easy to read.
Thanks - I will be playing at GenCon ‘24 and it’s appreciated to quickly know the basics

I got the starter kit, and it is the bomb. Literally everything you need. I had to do the kickstarter, this knocks the system out of the park.
Been waiting for this! Wicked 🤘🔥🤘🔥🤘
Regretably, I have missed the KS. Where/ when can I get hold of a harcover core book?

Grimdarks back on the menu boys
I’ve just received the Starter Set, is this set compatible with Reforged?
As another asked, will there be a chance to late pledge for Reforged? Or when will it be available for purchase? Thanks.
This is so awesome
I wish it would be translated into Polish... I would love to play Zweihander, but not everyone at the table (including me) is fluent in English.
