I got into watching heavymetalatc vids this last winter and got inspired to build my own P-90 style pickup out of scrapwood so thats what I did and made the bobbin extra long, put some felt on the insides of what was left after winding the coil on so it grabs the soundhole right there, I dont know whether I got lucky or , well obviously since Im not a professional pickup maker but with around 2.5kOhm resistance and wound with a couple different gauges of recycled wire from various motors, neodymium magnets from other motors, it really sounds awesome through a small practice amp! With all the time and effort, it works out to a bit more than this one however I do have to attenuate that cost with the enjoyment and learning I got out of the deal. Love your vids Kley, thanks for sharing!
Hi, I wonder if it is good enough for small performance on the stage. I'm going to use Taylor big baby with this pickup. I'm going to play strumming. There will be about 60 audiences. Not very professional performance but I want my guitar sound good enough. Would you reommend this pickup for this condition?
I'm glad I checked you out, brother. Temu's price: $37 less tax w/free shipping. I'm willing to wait.
Nice! gonna pick one up! might sound good on my martin dx12. Thanks for sharing!
Your channel is so good!
