Need evolution to properly use him, he's pretty good. Btw focus more on maxing normal cats and upgrading good rare units like salon, rocker, jurassic, swordsman. Also rocker, jurassic, bishop and mer-cat is the one of the best rare cats to be evolved to true form later, they're pretty busted with TF. Salon(Paris) cat have decent TF, but does well without it, and she will be a carry for many of stages early on, one of the best rares to upgrade, but TF is really optional. Mer-cat(Commando cat) is useless until her true form, cameraman cat, which is really busted and one of the best rares alongside others i listed. There's also more niche rares which is good what they're purposed for, such as psychocat(alien slow), witch(red slow), pirate(red knockback) etc. Use them where they really needed. About super rares i just list best of them: sushi(anti-red tank), nerd(long range), kotatsu(anti-floating tank, wave block in TF), swimmer(anti-floatong damage), weightlifter(anti-black damage), figure skating(paris but more expensive and better), surfer(anti-alien debuff and good dmg to all), hip-hop(busted solo target dps). This is what you aim for. Also farm xp when possible, it hastens your progression drastically. About ubers and legend rares - some of them will hard carry you, others just don't do that good outside their niche, but don't invest in them early on, anyway its all up to you
