He had over 700 songs. He was sometimes lyrical, he was sometimes a teacher, he was sometimes a poet, he was sometimes a gangster, and sometimes a storyteller and news reporter. If I die tonight is a lyrical song if you want a good example. But 2pac above everything was mainly focused on hitting the listeners hearts. He made made gangster grown men cry.

I literally cant, Pac not lyrical? WTF......"You dont listen to Pac, you feel Pac.! " straight facts. Pac is, was, and will always be legendary, revolutionary, a lyrical genius, and by far the greatest rapper to ever grace a mic, there has never been, nor will there ever be anyone who can even remotely come close to being on Pac's level.. Not only that, but Pac was far more than just a rapper, he was honest, real, and had so much love for others, and he poured his heart and soul into every word he ever said, which is why his music, and his legacy will never die. To anyone who thinks differently.....prove me wrong....,go ahead, I'll wait.

Bro thank you .. I’ve been a 2Pac fan for 30 plus years and over the years what I have noticed is that most 2pac haters that claim he’s not Lyrical take on what others Rappers in Hip Hop say because of jealousy. The jealousy comes from he and his music still being relevant , and as popular for almost 30 years after his death. Most Rappers from that era music isn’t as popular.., talked about.., or Loved.. as 2Pac and that makes them Jealous.., so they use terms like he’s not Lyrical or Street enough to try to diminish him , his skills , and love from hip-hop fans , but the Real fans know better..

He was using his platform as a rapper to get his message out. The ppl who REALLY rocked with Pac were ppl who understood he wasn’t just a rapper. She dnt have multi octaves or a smooth range, but her singing is full of emotions that ANYONE going through things can relate. 2pac also rapped with emotions that people globally felt during his short lived career. That’s why they’re both Rock & Roll Hall of Famers. I think when folks clam 2pac isn’t lyrical, it’s cause he doesn’t use a lot of double entendres or metaphors (no disrespect to the lyrical geniuses who do)…he’s straight forward!!! ✊🏾👊🏽💯

It’s mainly the people who like that New York underground subway rap who say that he wasn’t lyrical, because he’s not spitting metaphors and similes all day, and he’s instead being straightforward and cutting straight to the core with his rhymes. A lot of the rap that they say is lyrical doesn’t stand the test of time because it doesn’t mean anything to the listener, while Pac’s music had a huge impact on people.

Tupac was (and in death, is) highly envied even by some of his Death-Row/West Crew such that some of them, over the years in interviews, have slyly and jealously refused to admit him as the GOAT ever.

They don’t be listening young king! I’m 42, and I’m telling you they don’t be listening to Pac, cause his lyrics be calling them out, and putting their lies / fakeness on blast.
I’m from that era, so I remember clearly how jealous ALL Of these other rappers were of him (and they still are, especially the rappers that was in the game when he was… the so called OGs).
Pac was the realest ever in Hiphop, in any generation or era. What he was about & stood for was way too advanced & on another level. It was his Black Panther Party background/ upbringing that made him different.
Like you said, you don’t listen to PAC, you FEEL him.
When I was 20 yrs old (2003), I was facing 40 years to Life in prison, and no other rappers’s music got me through them 10 years that I copped out to. I didn’t wanna hear nobody else, their music didn’t mean shit to me anymore.
Like he said, “In the end, it’s my friends that flip flopped”
I was experiencing that at that time, while all these other rappers were still lying in their music. In that situation, I began to see that Pac was above everyone else.
I was 13/14 years old when he was assassinated.
This song was one of them ones that spoke to my soul in the pen, cause I felt just like him, while sitting in there. 💯
For that, he’s my GOAT. 🐐
You can listen to any Pac song, just make sure it’s the OG version, whenever you see that option. 💯
Your reaction was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 and 100% on point. You’re doing your homework! Pac said in the Lost Vibe interview, to “go back & study”, and you’re doing just that. Much respect, young brother. I appreciate what you’re doing.
My reaction recommendation would be to check out, “Lord Knows”, “Death Around the Corner”, “Life’s So Hard (OG Version) or “Blasphemy”
    You won’t be disappointed!✌🏾👑 #YouWokeUpThe2PacSpirits

I'm convinced that ppl try to diminish Pac in efforts to biasly esteem their favorites. That's why they say, he's not lyrical, or ppl love Pac bc of his passion, or he was a poet...they come up with every sub category to try and explain away Pac's greatness, but the reality is Pac is the GOAT & no rapper's catelog can even come close to competing with Pac's catelog. Trying to say he's not a lyricist is riculous, bc it's his lyrics that we love....What's wild is even Pac's enemies loved Pac's music, so figure that one out.

Tupac Shakur is by far the greatest rapper to have ever lived. I am in my mid 40's and have pretty much heard every song he ever did be it commercial or unreleased tracks. He has the largest catalogue by far, is the most prolific, the most poetic and is able to paint a picture like no other. No one even comes close. People can always have their opinions but there can only be one right answer which is displayed by his body of work and his relevance even to this day. Name me another who comes close, I'll wait............................still waiting................still waiting...........
