@@LuckyBide Hmmm. I never said he wasn't popular I was slightly older than you were when he died. I said in my previous comment that he was popular at par with Dre, Snoop, etc. He became more popular after he died. Had he lived, he might not have attained the status he now enjoys as one of the greatest. Maybe he might have. We don't know. My older brothers were always up to date with the rap scene those days and would buy the albums soon as they'd be released. Those days, breaking news xarriwd more weight than it does today.. so of course it was big news when he died, it's actually often big news when celebrities die. He had been a controversial figure. Especially Pacs death because it was one of the 1st high profile rap deaths as a result of rap feuds. Those days, there were many rap beefs, from before Tupac began rapping, it was a part of the culture, however, around his time they started to escalate, and once hit em up became a hit track it elevated he and Biggie to become the latest poster children for East vs West (a long standing beef since before their time). But he wasn't a legend yet. Even though he starred his career at 17, it had just started to take off in a meaningful way. Actually, Dre and Ice Cube were bigger rappers at that point in time (they were the legends before Pac and Biggie because they were the OGs) But after his death, he became immortalised and a legend. He became a bigger star than he ever was. Even the rap fans who hadn't paid much attention to his music began paying attention. His movies, which had been mediocre at the time, became classics. His death cemented his mark as one of the greatest.

I don’t think people really know Tupac like the people who lived during his time. Pac was so much more than the East Cost West Cost beef. He was a deep man.
This is one of the reasons why Pac was the greatest rapper ever. You could feel everything he rapped about. He made songs about different topics. His death still hurts to this day. He did a lot in his 25 years on this Earth. R.I.P to my fellow Gemini brother Makaveli.

Tupac my Gemini brother. This man had wisdom and knowledge beyond his years. If you listen to his music it wasn't about nonsense he always spoke about something you could relate to or even have heard about before. He was a poet and brilliant young man taken to soon.
As a 64 year old man, Tupac and Biggy Smalls had true talent, and what happened to both of them is sad. Puff Diddler is all wrapped up in the death of both of them. Mark my words because he wanted to be on top because he cut his first album in 96.
2Pac represented all the small people, all the underdogs, all races and shapes and forms of of the lower and middle class... finally everyone understands his music, he spoke reality in all forms
He died way too soon REST UP PAC. See how the crowd started laughing when he first mentioned Tupac? He deserves so much more praise than a gangster rapper he could have saved so many lives
Jordan Peterson said: “If you love someone, if it's genuine love, you see their hidden soul. You get a glimpse of the light that they could reveal to the world if they revealed it. To act in love is to encourage that to come forward and to discourage anything that gets in its way." Sounds to me like Dennis got a glimpse of Tupac’s “hidden soul” and the light he had to give the world.
Pac was just so many things to so many different people some of which you would have never guessed. He had strong ties to the acting 🌏 also because he knew how to navigate a room. That's what visionaries do. 🐐
the way Dennis Quaid was able to see and experience Tupacs soul tells you a lot about him too. Most great actors have this heightened level of empathy and can really see a person for who they truly are. And it takes one to know one, so Dennis must be a real artist too.
Dennis Quaid da man!!!!! Well spoken about the rap legend himself, Tupac shakur. I really miss his art and his role as a person. A true leader speaks of true leaders. So wonderfull to watch...❤😊
Pac was that dude. An everyone person. He knew how to acclimate and make those around him comfortable. "'Till the end, my friend...Cuz you ain't never had a friend like me, believe that."
Dennis Quaid and Tupac, that's universal soul bonding right there. Two humans connecting and living life. Enjoying good food and conversation. Get out your comfort zone and say hello to a stranger. You might learn something.
Wow i’m a huge fan of Pac and Quaid. Never would have thought of those two spending time together. You can tell Quaid really got to know him in the short time together.
I remember the year 2pac passed in "96" was in 8th Grade/Jr High. Hearing on the News in Sept, 96 that Tupac had passed away. Was sad about the passing for months. R.I.P Tupac , Gone but never forgotten. (1971 - 1996). 2pac was only 25 years old when he passed away. Was so young with a long and talented life ahead of him that was cut too short. 😢👼🙏🎶
I was in junior high too. I remember and I remember a couple years after his passing, the song Changes came out. We were in class, it came through the radio and the teacher let it play. Time stood still in that moment and all was silent. His loss was still fresh even though a couple years passed. He accomplished so much in such little time, there’s no telling what would have become of him were he still around. RIP btw lol I know there were millions of folks who hoped he truly did pull a Makaveli and would return after 7 years. He was one of a kind💯
I never really listened to his music but I was heartbroken to hear of his murder. I was in my sophomore year of college and broke down crying. It was weird because I wasn’t expecting that kinda feeling. It was as if I knew he had something that would’ve united the world and was cut down so young.

R.I.P to one of the GOAT’s 🙏🏻🫡🤘🏻
Pac wasn’t filthy rich. There was no money in rap in the 90’s and Suge was ripping his artists off. He was on the verge of making big money prior to his death with a distribution deal which seems real coincidental. The feds were watching Pac the night he died and did nothing about because they were in on it
Mickey Rourke, Tim Roth, James Belushi, Just Leon, Wood Harris, and now you can add Dennis Quaid to that list of actors who have all said the very same things about Pac. His energy and who he was just captivated everyone in such a magnetic and profound way. Those privileged enough to be in his presence can still feel his spirit nearly thirty years later. Pac is truly a remarkable human being and immortal who will never die.
Tupac had a huge impact on so many people, from all over the planet and from different types of communities. I'm convinced that if he had lived longer he would have united people and made a lot of significant positive changes for the world.

At a young age from that sad scenario of Pac losing his life so young, i learned the tragedy of lost potential.
Look for greatness in unlikely places, people.
It was a family affair for my family as well. My siblings, my mom, and even my DAD watched the news confirming it, and we all mourned that night. Never forget it! Huge hole in the world without Pac.
Wow ❤❤ I was 14 when Pac died, I cried for like a week lol.
Did you guys cry when zesty shakur died and took the persona of tupac?
He was a fraud. Great actor playing a role propped up by the music industry and left wing propaganda to aid in the destruction of american culture.
Yes dear mamma, wad a good song, but how about the other 99% of his songs about calling women garden tools, shooting, killing, etc. Especially when he did not grow up that way.
@nevmev5982 he should've kept his hands to himself and he wouldn't have gotten blasted
🙏
Thanx Dennis Quad for showing love to PAC
Gang Related and Gridlock'd were 2Pac's best movies. He was getting better as an actor as time went on
Gridlock"d to me was Pac at his peak of being a camlelion at his acting
He did great in the movie “Juice”.
Poetic Justice really showcased his acting versatility imo
Gridlock'd is the best. Makes me wonder how well Tim Roth knew Tupac.
Loved this, 2Pac was definitely a generational talent and did so much for a young life. His music is still relatable in today’s world
Of all things imaginable, DQ bumpin' Dear Mama brings a tear to MY eye
No rapper had much popularity in the whole world than 2pac
He was a rapper not a gangster and he died trying to be one ..... Stpid
Yes, he was popular, though he was at par with snoop, dre, ice cube popualrity, his popularity, and legend exploded after his death.
@@kamu747 nah they weren't at the level of pac they are popular in the usa and maybe europe but bro 2pac is known universally and still to this day 30years after his death
@@kamu747 I'm French and I was 9 when Pac died, and I still remember the announce of his death on TV news. He was already popular and a legend before he died, and in the entire world.
@@LuckyBide Hmmm. I never said he wasn't popular
I was slightly older than you were when he died.
Actually, Dre and Ice Cube were bigger rappers at that point in time (they were the legends before Pac and Biggie because they were the OGs)
But after his death, he became immortalised and a legend. He became a bigger star than he ever was. Even the rap fans who hadn't paid much attention to his music began paying attention. His movies, which had been mediocre at the time, became classics. His death cemented his mark as one of the greatest.
MAN ... Dennis has always been one of my favorite actors. Still watch 'Parent Trap' with my Daughter. At least once a month. I always wished had a Dad like him ... and then he makes me cry all these years later with this story.
and FREQUENCY, and The Kid, and The Words, and I Can Only Imagine
“He had so much to give to the world” ….. that was literally enough for the whole interview 😢
Facts 100
Dennis tearing up got me. Pac was truly special.
Imagine what 2Pac would have accomplished if he was still here. He was one of the greatest! ❤❤❤
He would of been on campaign with trump
lol
@@WayneStcroix-ok8rxprobably not
@@WayneStcroix-ok8rxI’m sure he would have been front and center of the BLM protests unlike other celebrities not doing anything to help reform change in society. Never once did I hear anything they contributed. I know Tupac wouldn’t stand by and not do nothing. Sad that he gone
I don’t think people really know Tupac like the people who lived during his time. Pac was so much more than the East Cost West Cost beef. He was a deep man.
Thankyou for acknowledging that.
This is one of the reasons why Pac was the greatest rapper ever. You could feel everything he rapped about. He made songs about different topics. His death still hurts to this day. He did a lot in his 25 years on this Earth. R.I.P to my fellow Gemini brother Makaveli.
always loved him as an actor, and to see how he cried for our black brothers made me even love him more now. he’s definitely invited to the cookout and family reunion 😂. we got your back dennis. 💪🏾
He was a poet. I wish I was there listening to Tupac tell his story.
Have always loved Dennis Quad. A truly creative soul who deals with his own serious issues. Underrated actor, underrated human being.
His brother was a real hero, gave his life for humanity on Independence Day
O yea good ol Randy Quaid definitely
Never forget
"IMMMM BAAAAAACCCCCKKKKKK!!!" Hahah
Thank you Dennis for you open honesty!
Beautiful just beautiful💕this interview has brought me to tears!!
Tupac my Gemini brother. This man had wisdom and knowledge beyond his years. If you listen to his music it wasn't about nonsense he always spoke about something you could relate to or even have heard about before. He was a poet and brilliant young man taken to soon.
Of all the Tupac stories..this is amongst the most genuine heartwarming account I’ve heard!
Pac is a legend❤ and kudos to Dennis because u told him straight from the heart!
2pac was a prophet. A son of the universe.
You are high
@@sammymobs3889 I might be lol
Man that’s a great analogy bro.. for God so loved the world that he blessed a thug wit PAC…
@@countrykang1996Thanks
Nah. Prophets are different
1:46 😢🫣😖😩😭 I feel that pain 🙏
As a 64 year old man, Tupac and Biggy Smalls had true talent, and what happened to both of them is sad. Puff Diddler is all wrapped up in the death of both of them. Mark my words because he wanted to be on top because he cut his first album in 96.
We love you brother for loving our beloved brother Tupac!!
This was an amazing speech Dennis, to say something nice, special and respectful from two different persons with different backgrounds.
WOW who would've known Pac touched even Dennis Quaid. He was a powerful man. Big up to Dennis Quaid.
WOW. He touched so many people
That's how he should be remembered.
Yup
Dennis is a good man. Great actor. And you can see he cared. And he just got choked up about thinking of him
He was so many things to so many different people. That's charisma.
He was JUST GETTING STARTED couldn't be emphasized enough💔💔💔. Rip to one of the GREATS fosho, 2pac!!!!!
Jordan Peterson said:
“If you love someone, if it's genuine love, you see their hidden soul. You get a glimpse of the light that they could reveal to the world if they revealed it. To act in love is to encourage that to come forward and to discourage anything that gets in its way."
Sounds to me like Dennis got a glimpse of Tupac’s “hidden soul” and the light he had to give the world.
Tupac’s energy for life for living and understanding was spellbound. What a shining star he was. Forever missed. Great story.
Dennis Quaid is the man. Tupac is a legend. Love you PAC. RIP 🙏
Dear Mama is my favorite 2pac song of all time.
Pac was just so many things to so many different people some of which you would have never guessed. He had strong ties to the acting 🌏 also because he knew how to navigate a room. That's what visionaries do. 🐐
I hope he got more Pac stories out of him. Never get tired of him. RIP Tupac Shakur ✊️
the way Dennis Quaid was able to see and experience Tupacs soul tells you a lot about him too.
Gang related is 2pacs most underrated role and his best movie. His only film with real actors was involved, especially James Earl jones
Gridlock'd co starred Oscar nominated Tim Roth? Above The Rim co started Leon?
Tupac was so genuine and military minded.
“My military mind got me hustling all the time”
The rose that grew from the concrete. RIP Pac
Tupac was such a Force, brilliant communicator and talent. Always will be remembered…Rest In Power PAC 🙏🏽👊🏽
Can't believe he's been gone longer than he was with us .....love and miss him so much, BEST RAPPER EVER.....RIP
Pac was that dude. An everyone person. He knew how to acclimate and make those around him comfortable. "'Till the end, my friend...Cuz you ain't never had a friend like me, believe that."
I think he told you Pat......you gotta listen 😂
😂😂
Tupac is one of those people who showed everyone a different side to the point where you would never believe it was the same person.
It was brief, but his acting career was amazing! He could have been one of the best in Hollywood on top of being the goat of rap
I think Hollywood at some point would have black balled him. He was too out spoken.
@@Allhoney33 I'm not going to be able to change the world, but will guarantee that I will spark the brain 🧠 that will change the world. - Tupac

Tupac was one of the most impactful artists to ever walk the planet. Rest Easy Peacefully Pac ❤ ❤❤❤
Yep a story coming from dennis quaid a veteran in the movie entrie who broke down talking to 2pac is mind blown for me😮. I grow up on 2pac an to this day I still play his music 40yrs later. Mad respect for dennis 👏 💯
Play better music old man 😂
When you’re a Teen, someone in their Mid 20’s seem’s like they’re half way through life……but in reality, you’re still a kid in your 20’s.
Pac went from dirt poor to filthy rich, from Teen to young Adult and dead, within a Decade (in a time when it wasn’t so easy to become famous)…..that’s actually crazy AF man.
The feds were watching Pac the night he died and did nothing about because they were in on it
Tupac still a legend 🐐 RIP FAM
kind words from MR. Quaid . Tupac touched a lot of lives . From those who knew him and the millions who didn't .
He didn't touch shit
