Steve Lukather is in my opinion the best guitarist of all time, not only is he a guitar master, he writes and sings to the highest level. His musical journey through time is phenominal, and he is such a humble person that doesn't even rate himself to be honest. I saw Toto in 2018 at The Royal Albert hall, amazing night. I also saw them with the legendary Jeff Porcaro, just magical.
Steve LUkather is the COMPLETE PACKAGE, songwriter, incredible guitarrist, composer and great singer. Few in rock history can rival him. Top 5 of all time!
Terry Kath… he was s a Big Star.massive lost. Still super. I saw Chigago with Kath 15th July in San Diego 1973. Still got the 5.50 $ ticket , glued on my CTA 1st lp from Detroit 1969 . My sister brought it to Finland . Visiting USA was a major exercise then. Yet Finland was free wordl of course. Yet we lived next to the biggest criminal org of all time. God bless USA.
Underrated? What are you talking about? He's one of the most successful guitarists of all times and everybody knows that. Even Eddy van Halen mentioned that. Being asked how it felt to be the world's greatest guitarist he answered: Ask Steve Lukather.
Hes not underrated, anyone who knows anything about Rock in general or guitarists knows he's one of the greatest, if not THE greatest, session guitarist in history.
I would had died to see Gallagher live. I watch all the videos I can find of him on TH-cam. So much energy and focus. I watched a video where he took his guitar off during a solo put it facedown on the ground pulled on the guitar chord to make the strings grind. It was crazy, but somehow it fit in to the rawness of the song.

The Book of Luke: God sayeth, remember it is sacrilegious to play this song because one cannot sing the lyrics as cool as James Dewar. The best guitarplayer all the time
All it needs is a decent vocalist. Any Jimmy Dewar soundalikes out there?
Hard to recreate Dewar's incredibly soulful vocals. Together with Trower's pacing, Dewar makes that piece. Trower fans will always miss Dewar.

Great! It remainds me Pink Floyd... somehow.
I love the song. If only the mix sounded better...
Always has that anemic thin tone.....NOT!!! LOL
Anyone else getting Necromancer by Rush vibes?
His vocals just don’t compare to James Dewar.
Luke can play 1 note only & I know it's him !!! ... One of the most original shredders in the history of guitar !
Great job Luke!!!
