Great video Dan and "thank you." 👍 I'd like to see a few minutes of how you clean and prepare the engine, transmission etc ready for spray painting, if it's possible. I'm about to do the same with my Farmall H tractor. Looking forward to seeing the plowing, I love a good plow day. Best wishes. Peter 🚜🇬🇧
I have a fair amount of time spent driving a GIV. They are a pretty good tractor. Back in the early 80s I was farming 15 acres of my own land and 7 acres for the neighbor. I was pulling a 12 shank chisel plow when I hit a hard spot my M602 would not pull through. So I borrowed the GIV my neighbor had just bought. I hooked to my little 12 shank and promptly broke the right axle on the big tactor.
Hey Dan this is William Robbins I've got a Minneapolis Moline g1000 it has busted the input shaft on the injector pump how can I time that since it ain't moving and what caused it
Was it running when it broke? If it was the diesel fuel does not have enough lubricant in it for the older pumps. If it was non running the pump was probably stuck from sitting and when you turn the engine it will break the shaft. Area diesel service would be able to help and others good luck as for timing 4 degrees before top dead center will get you close check service manual for your exact specifications
I like old tractors and I like your story
Thanks.
Dan, I have a '61 Jet Star that I am slowly restoring. So the more detail that you show on the 4 Star, the more notes that I take for the Jet Star.
The rotation of a magneto is usually stamped on it. If it has an "A" stamped on it that is anticlcokwise.
Dan,vid was great, Thks for the MMCI,I’ll check into that,I know and you know what my colors are, catch ya on the next.
Very nice Dan
Organize chaos, we see it!!!
Should be clockwise. The A and E were counter clockwise. The U usually takes the same mag as a C or WC
@@justinblain928 thank you. I will pass the info on to the guy I was talking to.
@@molinedan that’s why we help each other out. I know it’s fun watching you and Ross the Oliver man. I learn a bit of different colors
👍 who don’t enjoy a plow day!! 🤗
✌️🤙
I am anticipating to see the tractor looking like it just came from the factory
Great progress on the 4Star Dan. I’m excited to see that progress. I’m glad you have the parts coming for the Oliver. Very enjoyable video Dan. Thanks

It's really nice that you have connections to get the parts. That's a big help.
