For those like me who needed to find the original, I googled and House of Beauty has the original big tub (not the Macro) for a decent price ~$6 and they have discount codes for 10 or 15% off. Shipping a bit high, but hey, I need to try the original cause I've only known the new 'blue lid' Xtreme gel, no Wetline 😑...and I think it was breaking my hair off so I had to stop using it. Thanks for this video Rayna, made me go searching for the OG again 😁

I checked the tracking info again a few hours later, like they suggested, and the issue was cleared up. I was definitely on edge for a minute. My order is expected to arrive in the next 3 days. Thanks for the heads up, I read some reviews before I ordered and most were positive but that shipping notification threw up my red flags.
Update: I just received my order from House of Beauty World and although their website showed the original Wetline Xtreme gel, I received the Xtreme gel with the blue lid. Very disappointed! Just contacted them about a Return & Refund 😤
I ordered it because it was the green top original but they sent the new blue top. Oh well. It works but like she said it’s not as crunchy and my hair is softer so...
When you introduced me to the wetline texture Id combo I actually was able to drop all gels. That texture I’d has so much hold for me that I have to scrunch that. Maybe heavy handed. I actually get the best results from solo texture I’d when I do it from dry. Idk texture id flipped everything I thought I knew about natural hair and I’ve been at this for 20 years
Thanks! I thought it was just my hair not liking Wetline for wash and gos anymore. Now I realize that I've been using the new Wetline when I was used to the OG. I ended up switching back to Ecco w/Argan Oil. Love your vids!

I was lucky enough to find a big tub of OG wetline in a grocery store a couple months back... didn’t even need it at the time but I swiped it up immediately because finding it is like finding a whole live unicorn 🦄

I personally don't have any issues with the blue lid wetline. It works great on my hair and I personally don't like the crunchy feeling on my hair and the newer version doesn't leave my hair crunchy. For me it's the best gel I used 🤷♀️. I haven't tried the original one

I went from eco to this with the blue top because of the price and quantity... it was great for as long as they said it would be and it wasn't crunchy at all. I love it for when company comes over or when I'm just stretching my hair... other than that... ill stick with eco for the shine and hold throughout the week lmao. Oh an I'm also allergic and sensitive to wheat, dairy, and what's usually used in certain hair products argan. Using certain gels from eco especially argan made me feel extremely sick. So I use coconut, black castor, and sometimes olive oil. I usually test it on my hands before using it. Reading the ingredients doesn't always help. For anyone who may not know that they could be allergic to these products and wondering why it makes you feel off if it's nothing else.
My hair never looked better than when I used the original green lid Wetline. I found it because of you and I just ordered a macro size one from Amazon, I think I'm going to stock up because this product is amazing. The new dark blue lid is just not up to par, I love hold because florida humidity and heat are horrible and I need that hold. I can't get past day 2 in the new formula. Why do they fix what's not broken?!

They only have the original blue one not the clear in my city. I used the new clear one today and I felt like I had to put a good amount just for it to hold (still barely hold) which was slightly disappointing because I like my wash n goes crunchy the first day so it’ll last too. This just affirmed that I wasnt going crazy lol
If you're a type 4 or have tangles or dryness issue.. you may want to do a leave in. I love her hair ,but my 4C can't get away with all the tricks hers can 😔

I am always entertained AND educated by your videos. I have tried both, my favorite is the new Wetline because I don’t like a hard hold or a crunch. Therefore I gave the original Wetline to my daughter who doesn’t mind the crunch.

I loved Wetline original formula too! I do not like the new formula and have since discovered Eco Krystal and I LOVE that gel.
The newer wetline has more glycerine,. It has weight but my hair puffs a lot more because its dries slow af

Please check the product ingredients. The first ingredient in the product is sodium hydroxide...aka LYE. Check it out for yourself.
