I would love if you showed more of you painting sometimes. I love your lemon painting and it will look so beautiful in your kitchen. You are talented. That is something that I would like to try sometime. Yes, please do more fruit paintings. I was just thinking how we buy lemons in the store regularly. How I would love to have a lemon tree or lime. You are blessed! Thank you for sharing!😊
Shannon, oh how I love your "lemons in a bowl" painting. This whole vlog was super fun to watch. Your backyard redo was one of my favorite projects you've done also.
Hey Shannon, great video! Your lemon painting is beautiful! I love adding unique pieces to my home, and original art is such a great way to do that! I also like moving things around in my home, which has prevented me from buying new pieces. Thanks for sharing!💖
Wow, definately see all the improvements you and Grant he ave made to your home and yard. It is absolutely beautiful and inviting. I am sure the decluttering journey made such a difference.to help see what you wanted to acheive. You both have so many wonderful gifts and talents.
Shannon, I think you are a genius to think of putting the arm chairs in front of the fireplace and have the table where you put it,love how it looks I make the broccoli and cauliflower like you do, it’s so easy
I'm so happy to hear you didn't have any flooding. What a relief. Your lemon painting is beautiful, Shannon! Wow, it won't be long, and Levi will be out of that crib. He's growing so fast.
Love the lemons in a bowl & the overall calm & peaceful video of time spent doing chores around the house & resets. Glad you like the KitchenAid mixer, I love mine. You can get other attachments for it too!
It's amazing how long a dining room table will last if you take care of it. Ours is 20 years old. I put a furniture protector pad over the top. Then I cover it with a pretty table cloth. Lastly I put a clear plastic table cloth over that. My table still looks brand new. The surface is shiny & no scratches. I remove everything for special meals.
I love how you add subtle colors everywhere to your minimal home. I love color and feel like most minimal home tours are usually white and grays. Thanks for the inspiration and motivation.
Thank you Shannon. I absolutely LOVED this! You are a wonderful homemaker. I love seeing what you're doing and how your home looks - both inside and out. It's so inviting/welcoming. Thanks for sharing. Have a terrific week.
The lemon painting is perfect in your kitchen. Do your kids like to do any artwork? My sons was a prolific "artist". Today he still makes things but his medium is wood, instead of crayola markers. He recently repurposed the wood from a pallet, (made of walnut of all things), to make a cut out of their favorite lake, then applied to a lighter colored wood. Something personal like that really makes a house more homey🤗. Thanks for sharing.
Years ago my Mom gave me a kitchen aid. I love having it. I have been using the dough hook to knead my bread, if I don't use the bread machine. It really helps. I am not sure exactly what my style is. If someone asks, I always say Early garage Sale. LOL. Your lemon painting looks really nice in your kitchen.
Maybe Grant can make walls around your washer/dryer so sawdust doesn't get on your clean clothes. Since you live in a warm climate, do you have a clothes umbrella for outside drying?
It's funny you mention that about the walls, we are trying to think up a way to make a separate laundry area. We don't have a clothes hanging area they are very uncommon here, but that is another thing I wanted to add. =)
Hey Shannon. I've been catching up on your videos that I have missed. You and your mom are so creative and talented. I don't have an artistic bone in my body. I cannot believe how big your youngest son is now! Wow they grow up fast right? One suggestion and one question: When my kids were young I had them put their dirty laundry in the hamper (or bag in your case) right side out. Easy for them to do and saved me a step when folding and putting away clothes. Question: where did you get the two chairs in your TV room? I believe they recline if I remember correctly. Thanks!
How lucky you are! You are a stay-at-home mom and are able to do homemaking during the day. I've always had to work at a job, which is exhausting at times.
I do feel lucky that I get to work from home, but I do my homemaking during the day and I work all night LOL. I do have a full-time job doing this and blogging. =)
I love your lemon painting! 🍋 Thank you for the vegan banana bread recipe. Do you make it with spelt flour or do you substitute? I can’t find spelt flour in my area. We eat plant based so I’m going to try substituting applesauce for the coconut oil. I know that the texture will be different, but hopefully the bread will still be tasty! 😋
I forgot to mention that, I do make some substitutes. I use regular canola oil ( I have never tried applesauce). I also use regular all purpose flour for all the flour and it always turns out great.
Look forward to my Sunday morning coffee with you, always such a treat! Your home always looks so tidy. Your backyard has really filled out nicely. The little guy is getting big and so cute!
Shannon, your lemon art is beautiful but I think your are hiding it by the fridge, I think it would be nice on your shelf by the canisters, would love to see it in your art store ❤
I was thinking the same thing, but that area where the canisters are gets a lot of traffic. I might have to move it to somewhere I can see it better. =)
lovely painting! you're so talented. and yes I can relate to the outside living space - thats how we are with our second story deck, as soon as its warm enough we set it up and thats where we pretty much live until autumn ♥
I love that large art work piece (that was in the clip after you showed your table). Did someone in your multi-talented family paint that? It’s awesome! I love your lemon painting as well! Would love to see you do more of these, for sure. 😃
Mmm! I can almost smell that banana bread 😋 I am inspired by your beautiful home & I'll bake today! Makes the house smell so good too! Thank you Shannon ❤
Please share some vegetarian meals. Many people are observing Lent and Fridays are no meat. Would love some ideas. When you remodel your kitchen, consider drawers for all the lowers, you will love it! (I wanted to mention when I noticed you opening a drawer below the oven). It really is the small things that make a homey environment. Nice job!
I love the idea of drawers instead of cupboards in the kitchen! It would be so much easier to get everything. I will try to share more of what we eat, I normally don't share too much because it's always hit or miss if our meals turn out good lol.
My boys used to spread out the Brio train tracks all over the living room. So fun and engrossing and creative. I’m curious about the blue tape on the floor. Is that for a project?
It's fun for them to create a whole city LOL. That blue tape on the ground is where the flooring is not level in our home! The previous owners who added onto the house didn't pour the foundation level so they had to make this weird connection and the wood piece that connects it keeps splintering off. We need to completely redo the floors at some point.
I love this video, Shannon! Your videos like this are so relaxing for me to watch. My house was simplified, but I had a rough pregnancy and delivered a baby last year and got way behind on… well, everything. Do you have any advice as to how to catch up again? I’m completely overwhelmed.
Hello Kristina, I can relate to this because when my youngest was born I had an emergency when I had him and it took me so long to recover. My only advice would be to take your time and know that this is just a season of life and it will get easier. Just know that your health is more important than a perfect home. ❤
@@shannontorrens1 ah I must have misheard you. Banana bread is just the best. Making more at the weekend as it didn’t last long! I make mine gluten free for my daughter :)
