I can’t wait to read these books 📚. I’ve never read Eloisa James! I’m taking over my Mom’s love for these awesome historical Romance books. 📚. Thanks for motivating me to start reading romance novels for 2021!😁😁 You’ve explained everything very well. Thanks again❤️❤️🌸🌸
I have only read When Beauty Tamed the Beast from her and loved it, but I’m glad to hear the pitfalls of the other books to not waste my time. I would say if someone liked Tessa Dare’s The Duchess Deal, to also give this a try. The banter/wit between her and the doctor was funny. I would compare this hero to House from the tv show. He’s brilliant, but so matter of fact with patients (and his trainees), really lacking in bedside manner.
Omg thank you for this! I laughed a lot. Great video. I want to try her Shakespeare retellings eventually but I'll count the fairytale retellings done after this video LOL
I've only read one Eloisa James so far (The Taming of the Duke), and it was fine (sold my copy soon after 😛)... definitely not excited to pick up another book of hers anytime soon. I really enjoy her writing style (particularly for banters, like you mentioned!) but a bit lacking in paving an engaging story.
I've read the ugly duchess, aaaand i almost quit it. I did not understand some of it, too. Mainly the part where james turned into a pirate and i find them really stupid for not seeking out each other and wasted a good 7 years like...I ranted it to myself for a good minutes and even contemplated about quiting it
I really didn’t like the ugly duchess and it made me not want to pick up more from her. But so many people love Eloisa James and I always feel like I’m missing something. I’m glad it’s not just me . Now I’m thinking I’m just going to pick up the beauty and the beast one and skip the rest lmao
Her covers are so beautiful, but her books are not for me. I tried Once Upon A Tower. I read a few pages and knew this was not happening, but I give props to you for finishing them.
I haven't ready any of the fairytale boooks but really loved Eloisa's Desperate Duchesses series, and am partway through the Wildes of Lindow Castle series. I really like her characterizations and the worlds she creates for the characters, if that makes sense? That said, I don't love the sound of these re-tellings. I'm not a big fan of fairytale re-tellings anyway.
The desperate duchesses series is so far my favorite from her, and the three right before that one too. The fairytales were not as good as the desperate duchesses one for sure
It doesn't seem like you enjoy these books that much, when you talked about The duke Is mine I thought you would give It 1 star because that heroine sounds awful I can't stand cheating no matter what. Thank you for your reviews
I know but the endings were always cute so I always OKAY FINE and give it one more star than it deserved. Also my one stars are saved for very very frustrating and stupid books
I love your videos that focus on one author and their books. Thank you! So appreciative of them.
Thank you for watching!! /
i have only read one eloisa james (a duke of her own) and I LOVED IT!!! so i needed this
Ah I'm sorry I didn't like this series though! I'll keep that one you mentioned in mind!

That's so sweet thank you!!!
I need to read more by this author!
I love the titles and cover/stepbacks for this series! Love a punny historical title 👌
Buahaha yes!
Book heaven historical romance reading. A brilliant collection of books.
I am request to do a Sophia Barnes and recommendation about her book, please.
I loved all her books!

I'M SO GLAD I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME KNOW LMAO
Did you try the Wilde's series?? 💞
I will like the opinion of Eloísa book Much Ado About You. It looks like is very good but I wants the review. Thanks in advance.
here in the Philippines, it's E-LOY-SA not E-Lo-EE-SA. The latter sounds weird to me hehehe. I liked The Ugly Duchess, though.

I loved her Desperate Duchesses series as well. The relationship between the women, the chess, Villers...
Thanks
I love the name eloisa... never read any of their books though 😂
Probably should skip this series

I’be been wanting to read some Eloisa James, but this convinced me not to start with this series. lol
Yeah maybe not with this one!! I'll probably read her other books... But like later.
