I'm a big fan and have been watching for a while now. I also am a old school gamer & collector.My 1st tme commenting.The main differences we have are you like RPG's.I like sports.But I really enjoy listening to you when you talk about the games no matter there genre.I like your reviews and games I bought recently.Even though I am a game junky I still learn quite a bit while watching your shows.Especially about import games and lost gems I may have missed.Keep up the great work.BASHEM72,PSN,X360

yah, 32x is rough, I had 100+ in trade in credit and the store clerk pretty much talked me out of buying the CIB 32x, opted to get the Retro Duo portable! lol...
We never had good Jaguar stuff up here.

If you love RPGs you just can't go wrong with Lufia/Lufia II :) They're both very, very good and entertaining games. Both games are still way up there on my list of my all time favorite RPGs :)

I cant find them on Ebay. I am completely lost on how to find them.
Since the dazzle is not an HD recorder, you don't need high quality splitters. I just use some cheap ones I picked up at radio shack.

Hey Pete by any chance do you know anything about an RPG for SNES called Terranigma? Picked it up over here in Germany for the super Famicom and haven't been able to play it yet.
I wish I could collect man, what you're doing is great and living the games on how they should be, and instead of them being in the trash, you're preserving art. I only emulate to relive games that now cost over $400 haha.

I would not argue with this, Demon's Crest looks BEAUTIFUL. $35 is a steal for the game complete too.
Whenever you decide to move man oh man, moving all your stuff will be a major pain in the ass. Great pickups pete.
For games that use composite, I use a Dazzle DVC100. HD systems with component I use a Happague HD PVR. I use the program XSplit to stream to twitchTV

Yo Pete secret of evermore was one of my favorite snes games as a kid , I still play through it once every year or two and love it. Give it a try and it would be awesome to see a review or impressions video
Do you plan on getting the Oddworld games?
You just inspired me to play Treasure Hunter G. I remember seeing screens of it back in the day and being depressed finding out it won't be released here eventually forgetting it existed (for some reason Bahamut Lagoon always stuck in my mind)
Lost Odyssey, Two Worlds 2, Divinity 2, Dark Souls, Skyrim, Sacred 2, Star Ocean, Nier, Infinite Undiscovery, Tales of Vesperia, Eternal Sonata, Oblivion, Dragon Age, Blue Dragon, theres still more, but thats what I have played.

Hey Pete, I have a question, I have been collecting PS2 games like crazy and I kinda wanted to start collecting original Xbox games, but I only want to get Xbox exclusives because I personally prefer the PS2. Is this a good idea?

I already got my response from Pete and I respect it. He never really explained why he doesn't go with it despite it's advantages. No it would not make you less of a gamer, it would just make you a different type of gamer, don't be silly.
I really don't think I could pull off lets play videos and keep them interesting throughout it's entirety....I mean if enough people would REALLY be interested in this I may consider iy, but I can't promise anything.

About 25 hours in. I have posted an article on my site about my impressions so far, give it a read at petesgameroom . com
I have discussed in the past why I don't emulate, because I KNOW I would spoil myself with it. I have fun collecting games, and emulation would ruin that aspect for me. Plus, I still prefer playing all of my games on original hardware with original controllers and of course owning physical copies of the games. I understand the benefits of emulation, but I just choose not to use it.
Secret of Evermore was an excellent game, loved the game as a kid, i highly recommend it, awesome storyline & very addictive gameplay, awesome boss battles. :D

Some great looking games this time around, Pete. Most of which I've never heard of, but they all sound very interesting. The Square Soft SNES games especially sound great!

Those are some great pick ups. I just picked up Lufia 2 yesterday. It's a lose cart but I got it for a little under half of what it's going for. I think I'll play that after I finish 7th Saga.

I remember I saw Lufia II and Secret of Mana on the Funco Land Magazine. I got "Maximo: Ghost to Glory", Gargoyles Quest, Ghosts and Goblins and Super Ghouls and Ghost.
Demon's Crest is really great. I just found a copy at my local game store for $12. It came with the box, but no manual. The box is in mint condition, no creases or anything.
DMP says he has "something special planned" for the next episode of I Hate U which frightens me, because it usually involves pain, humiliation, and small rodents. Hopefully we'll shoot that soon!
Surprisingly, it was on the Game Boy Color. Towers: Lord Baniff's Deceit. A Dungeon Master clone, but I really enjoyed it. Also, it has a short FMV intro and ending - quite an achievement on the humble GBC!

Those are some serious games for the SNES
Specially Demon's crest and Cybernator, highly recommended
Also if you like Cybernator check out Hagane its somewhat alike but with ninjas. Keep it up!

I've yet to ever nab up an Jaguar, honestly the system only has like 3 games I think I would get for it lol

Pete, You have to download Swordigo for the ipad. This game is an amazing platformer and it is free for a limited time! I love it, thought you would too.
Yeah I have been on the lookout for Hagane but its incredibly rare and the chances of getting it cheap are slim to none...
Jaguar boxes are actually pretty nice.

Cybernator is awesome. I bought it at walmart for $20 back in the day.
O ya and thanks pete for getting me hooked on mario kart 7 online....i bought the 3ds offf craigslist and it cAme with mario kart 7 and i played it once and forgot about it and after hearing you "repetetivly" (see what i did there) talk about it on all gen gamers i haven put the game down!!!
I have a cart only copy of Cybernator, I found it really fun to play =)
Great pick ups. All that 4 Jaguar games are little gems.
Tempest 2000 is a real masterpiece! Defender 2000 is incredibly addicting. And both of them have amazing sound and graphic quality!
I played also Warhammer fo Jaguar and I didn't find very funny to play but technically is one of the best Jaguar games ever made. Really smooth 3D graphic for the good old Jag.
I never play Towers II. If I remember well it's a port from Lynx (or is the oppposite?).
i still have my lufia 1 and 2 and secret of evermore. awesome games

Great pick ups Pete! I'm glad to see the reproduction carts. They can definitely rape your wallet but its cool to play these games we never got in the US on a real cart. Treasure of Rudras is definitely on my list of games to get...Secret of Evermore is quite possibly my favorite SNES game... I got rid of my Jag months ago. I've been downsizing my collection but it didnt even work anyway lol...I need to play Lufia 2 as well. 1st one was solid so i'm sure i will like the 2nd

I got that with the fallout series on the ps3, but i might pick it up to see how it differs.
I bought my Jaguar when they were liquidated at KB Toys for $20. Probably the best games I had at the time were things like Flashback, Worms, Syndicate, and Theme Park. I had a bunch of stuff because bought pretty much every game they had at the liquidation prices but mostly it was garbage stuff like Double Dragon V and Pitfall: the mayan adventure.
