Wow! the way this theme uses greatly stylistic elements from baroque and clasical music it's OUTSTANDING, certainly didn't know this theme was about Fischl and her domain battle theme, the music of Genshin Impact is infinite!

Bonus: At 5:13 you can hear a: Trill, which is a musical ornament consisting of a rapid alternation between two adjacent notes. It's a type of embelishment predominant in (again) baroque music! 🤩

@@lysfranc8782 This is not true, there’s an entire team (HOYO-MiX) that you can even see in some of hoyo’s official videos on behind the scenes of the music of genshin. There’s also credits in the description of some osts which actually rotates the people working on it. For example, some of the newer character demo osts are actually composed without Chen Yupeng. Personally I suspect there’s like a jazz person whose influence can be seen in Layla’s and Yelan’s theme, and another person (or maybe an entire group) focused on trap beats like in Ayato/Raiden/Wanderer themes. Ayato’s for example is completely composed and arranged by Yuan Dimeng, while Raiden has Yupeng’s contribution (not that surprising). Cyno and Yelan both have Zhao Xin as composer although Dimeng also co-composed and is the arranger for Yelan’s theme. Finally, the composer and arranger for Layla’s theme is You Peijia. All of these people are parts of HOYO-MiX.

You're absolutely correct about the Van Gogh inspiration, this event in the game has a good chunk taken from the Starry Night painting
they literally added the sky from a van Gogh painting to Mona's dungeon (Mona's mirage it calls) and it looked amazing
Honkai Impact 3rd literally have an artist character whose artstyle and art pieces are a clear reference to van-gogh! gosh i love things like these

Summer event can also means another inazuma summer festival, or they'll use the chance to open up new area in Mondstadt (the northern port?) for summer event
They added fischl theme music too in the mix since it's her domain

To answer your question in the description: I don't think so. They say it's composed by Yu-Peng Chen and Yijun Jiang, and arranged by Yijun Jiang. What I understand from this is that Yu-Peng Chen composed Ouvertüre der ewigen Nacht and Sieh an, mein Sommernachtgarten! (Fischl's character demo and her story trailer), and Yijun Jiang took inspiration from these to compose Die Mittsommernacht-Fantasie.
This is the level of quality of music when skilled composers are given unlimited budget 😂😂

What I would do for Gilded Runner , since it’s a regional battle theme, you should react to it in a reaction series with the other main regional battle themes. Mainly suggesting this because each of the regional themes have similar motifs to one another and relate to eachother beautifully

Inazuma (Overlord of the Thunderstorm, Fiery Persuit, against the Invisible Net, and Duel in the Mist)
Enkanomiya *part of inazuma* (Combat Beneath the Waves, and Undersea Encounters)
Sumeru (Swirls of the Stream, Rhymes of Vales, Gilded Runner, and Jolts in the Forest)
Sumeru Desert *part of Sumeru* (Swirls of Shamshir, and Great Red Sand battle themes 2, 3, and 4)
The Chasm battle themes is incredible. When I first heard one of the melodies (it was Tremor of menace, I believe), I did something I had never done before in this game - I turned off all the effects and dialogues, leaving only the music so that nothing would distract me from the beautiful compositions and often deliberately delayed the fight to hear the music more often
Enkanomiya's music is also beautiful. She gives me the creeps, she's so good. It is also interesting that the music there is more similar to European, although the region is literally under the Inazuma, which has a Japanese setting. It was an interesting dissonance in what I expected and what I got
Duel in the Mist I think it's better to watch in the official "live" performance. Pleasure is not only for the ears, but also for the eyes for me
Of the above my favorites is Tremor of menace, Inevitable conflict, Combat Beneath the Waves, Duel in the Mist
To this day, this is still my favorite OST from the game. Nothing even comes close. Hits so unnecessarily hard!

Honestly that whole second summer event was one of the best event overall in the game, the story, the characters, the world region, the minigame, the side story and mission. Everything was really good and yet it only lasted for one patch before it is gone forever what the fuck, and the first summer event was also really good tho not as much as the second one, that is also gone too. I swear I feel so bad for all the new genshin player who miss all the limited time event, so stupid that is even a concept, I can understand limited time reward for free weapon/character and resource but a whole ass region and storyline to be limited is stupid
My favorite track from the whole game,this event leave a deep and huge mark on my heart that even almost a whole year it still give me chills like the first time I listen it while fighting a random small fry enemy XD (english not my main language sorry if I did a mistake somewhere~)
Ship picture was misleading it's just an illustration for this whole OST album. Main protagonist around which this song is revolving is a girl pretending/dreaming about being a princess and it all happens in a medieval style castle that's product of her dreams. The instruments like the harpsichord, organ, bells, strings, and even guitars fit all of that exceptionally well.
OH I just wanted to recomend this, I love listening to this so much you have no idea

Just saw this today. Thank you. This music still remains the best music in genshin for me thus far, or maybe I'm just in love with baroque in general. 😂 The music itself is simple, they just repeat the note again and again but with buildup with other instruments joining one by one, making the whole music feels like evolving every second until it reaches the peak, and the guitar kicks in. This is just crazy and befitting fischl's mirage as well. Her mirage is basically something out of a persona game, about self-acceptance 😂
This is my favorite Genshin impact track, I literally bought the soundtrack that contained this song because I saw it was on it. Since then I've actually bought all the genshin soundtracks that have been released, Hoyoverse taking my money even when im not pulling in Genshin impact LOL. 😂

It reminded me of the soundtrack from American McGee's Alice and maybe flamenco. All blended with classic and a bit of Gothic rock (like the intro to Angel, the Buffy spinoff).
